*Would* I? I have! I've seen Les Mis, Lucrezia, and Orphee aux Enfers (it feels very weird to say that a comedic opera (okay, maybe YOU can't write a comedic one, but you are not Jaques Offenbach, who suffers no such limitations) "teaches a lesson the world needs now more than ever", but it's true!), and one of my dreams is to see the whole of the Ring trilogy one day. It'd probably have to be in pieces, but still.
You're Lucky, I have never been to one, One day I will go to the big city and see one.
Yeah, one of the perks of Chicago is that it actually has a decent mass transit system; it's usually not hard to get where you want to go. It also has a lot of theaters, which helps.
I live on a farm in the deep North of Wisconsin. Heck, Cellphones and high speed internet don't even work here. I am still using dial-up Internet to get online.
... Yeah, that'd make it pretty tricky.
I have only a few times.
What was helpful was the story guide that they gave us.
It was in Italian, and I do not understand that language at all, so I was able to follow along a bit better.
It's really not my thing, but I'm none the worse for the experiences.
First time a I was invited to watch one, I thought it will be boring. At the end I was surprised because it was funny and the opera turned in a cabaret due laughter and reaction of spectators.
Your Lucky, I have never been to one
I went to one once when I was little. I saw the magic flute in NY, it was good, I really enjoyed it
Your Lucky, I have never been to one
Do you think you'll ever be able to go to one?
I live so far North in Wisconsin. That cellphone don't work, and we don't have access to high speed internet. I still use dial-up Internet to get on-line.
One day I will make a trip to one of them big cities and see what's it like.
See, I am just a poor simple farmer that's happy living the very simple life. I don't have the big fancy house, matter a fact my house is 2000 years old. My home just got indoor plumbing in 1998 when the state forced us to comply.
That should be 200 years old, not 2000 years old
oof that sucks, hopefully you can go to one when you go to a city.

I’m a huge fan of art. Haven’t attended an opera but I would love to in the future. I’ve been to a ballet.
Yeah me too!!! One of my mother's friends sings in opera she also teaches singing and vocals she is cool!!!
Awesome. I always wanted to go to one myself.
Great
I have! Different types of operas- my first was about a serial killer coulpe, it was glorious!
You're Lucky, I have never been to one, One day I will go to the big city and see one.
Not sure I'd like it but I'd definitely go once if a guy wanted to take me
That's nice, It's good to go with someone, then alone
It's probably not my taste but I would go to check it out.
At least you're willing to check one out
I've been to a few. Phantom, (I did a duet with a gal with All I ask of you). Also Le Miserable.
I have never been to one, I always wonder if you still have to dress all fancy
Good to know, Thanks
I would. I never have been!
“The Phantom of the Opera” is a musical , not an opera however. That I have seen
Yeah, I'd go. I'll try (almost) anything once.
At least you're will to try one
For the most part Opera is one music I don't care for. So no I wouldn't waste my time going.
I'd give opera a chance.
That's great, at least you're willing to give it chance
If I want to take a long nap during the day instead of just for four hours then I would
Are used to go to them when I worked event staff
I got that, but thanks for the correction
Been to the opera twice
You're Lucky, I have never been to one, One day I will go to the big city and see one.
A rock opera, yeah. A classical opera like Don Giovanni, no.
