I don't think I've heard any of these. I thought I heard of PAX before but I thought it was a news broadcasting station or something.

Oh, E3 I've heard about! That's where they showcase new consoles like the unveiling of a new Playstation or X-Box, yes? I think I watched YouTube videos of it.

I've also heard of Yugioh and Pokemon. They are very famous cartoons here in Japan. I didn't know they had events just for that though.

E3 is the major Gaming Event of the year, all the big companies showcase their new games. PAX is gaming convention.

Pokemon World Champions happen every July/August where top players from the VGC, TCG, Pokken and Go battle it out. And this year Unite is include. Yugioh is the TCG.

Althoigh I am surprised Someone from Japan called them cartoons instead of anime.

I see! For us "anime" just means "cartoons/anime", although sometimes I forget that it is used outside of Japan to specifically refer to Japanese ones. We call Western shows like Simpsons "anime" as well.
