Members of the U. S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force were with local law enforcement when they received a tip from Evansville, indiana police that the vehicle had been spotted near the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s office. Marshals and deputies went to the area, and the Whites fled in their vehicle.

When authorities began a pursuit, the two fled a short distance on U. S. 41 North, turning on Burch Park Drive, cutting through a grassy area, until authorities intercepted them and collided with their vehicle near a ditch.

Deputies say Vicky White, a corrections officer who helped Casey White escape an Alabama prison, shot herself after the chase, Vicky died in the hospital.

Just another dumb ass woman who was 56 and fell to the charms of a con man in prison/jail. There have been others, both men and women, who have done the same - getting involved with prisoners and trying to help them escape. She knew she was going to wind up in prison herself so did herself in.

Wow, they really did not stay on the lam very long considering they had planned this for a while and had lots of cash. I can understand why she killed herself but it is sad.
