Could Rogue (X-Men) absorb the Blob (1988)?

So Rogue's mutant ability is to absorb the life force, knowledge, and mutant abilities of anyone she touches.

The blob simply consumes the biomass of anyone it touches. Its only weakness in the movie is cold.

for the purpose of this debate, Rogue is not allowed to absorb Iceman nor any other mutant before fighting the Blob.

P. S. Rogue no longer has Mrs. Marvel's power, but she has full control of her own abilities now.

I would say no. The Blob would consume her. Since it’s not a mutant, she couldn’t absorb its powers.

Rogue can absorb non-mutants. The first person she absorbed was her normal boyfriend by accident, placing him in a coma. If she'd touched him any longer she would have totally absorbed his life force permanently.

In alternate timelines, Rogue has absorbed Hulk and Thor completely, and in the first episode where she was introduced, Rogue absorbed Thora nd three other avengers simultaneously. Technically Thor is't a mutant, he's an alien.

Rogue can absorb some aliens in the comics, but not all. She can't absorb Apocalypse.

Yeah but she just absorbs people’s powers and memories. The Blob is just a big blob that eats everything it touches. It doesn’t have any super powers or memories to absorb.
