Who remembers these little buildings?

When I was much younger (1980s), there was a Kodak or Fujifilm kiosk in the parking lot of every shopping plaza. Most offered one- or two-hour film developing and also sold film. They were one of the first "drive-up" services and they disappeared when digital photography became the norm.
We still have one here, but its closed and its marked as a landmark. Plus they have a mannequin and old photo tools inside
You are showing your age and that even older than me lol
I show my age.
I know who is Jack Benny, Mary Livingston, Rochester are. For a bonus I'll throw in the Andrews Sisters, Tommy Dorsey, Glen Miller
I could also say George Burns and Gracie Allen.
Say Goodnight Gracie
Me!
I used to drop this off and pick up my sticky envelope days later.
I just developed some of those for my neighbor
I didn't know they still exist.
They don't, they found them cleaning out a dead family members house
Thank you for the MHO β€

O yea right out front of Food Basket Market on Second street. It was turned into a flower shop then disappeared. Even Costco closed the photo shop.
But I still develop film for people
Its a art that needs to be preserved I know little about it but know the developer can make or break even the best photographer
Yes, in the days of optical cameras and film, you dropped your film here, it was sent to a central location for processing and printing, and then it was returned to the kiosk to be picked up. And, at last, you got to see the pctures yoou had taken two weeks earlier.
Or you could drop the film at drug stores for "one hour processing" but my local drug store said that really meant "twenty-four hour processing."
There was one in my old neighborhood. I tried to lease it to run a bubble tea stand but the company wouldn't let me. Oh well.
It's kind of weird how fast that industry disappeared.
Yes I remember them. There are still a couple buildings standing where I live
I used to get a lot of my film developed there because they got it done the next day
I don't even think I was alive when this photo was taken so not me lol
haha I used to work in a UK equivalent of one of these, ie inside another shop because of the weather her,,,
Thatβs where i went To have my picture taken in 1915 and itβs in my gag profile 😂
Okay that's pretty funny
I don't remember since it was before my time
