About five years ago I bought a Canon 80D & really got into wildlife photography & astrophotography. In addition I was hired to do two weddings & a few people that I know liked some of photos in my portfolio so much they offered me cash for them.
Landscapes, skyscapes, and lighting (moonlight or sunlight on people or objects). Nothing extraordinary. I have very amateur skill in using any settings to assist, so it’s mostly what I can capture with the proper angles, lighting, and the click of a button. I thoroughly enjoy it though. I get lost in time when I’m playing with the camera.
I like it but I really suck at it. It bothers me to think that I’m some cases you need like an expensive camera to get a decent photo. Anyway, I’ll just stick to pics on my phone. 😄
Few of mine... also I've sent u dm bout something

I'm a photographer and I like taking photos of anything that speak to me.
I love animal shots and nature.
Macro is my favourite as you can capture more detail.
Yes I love photography and my “9-5 I’m a professional photographer. I really love being as creative as I can unfortunately my super cool photos aren’t usually the ones that pay but they’re the ones that make me keep coming back
Did you take the photo on your profile picture?
Yes that’s a really old photo, If it’s ok to message you I’ll share my ig. I’d love to see what you think of my work
I really enjoy doing portraits, shooting architecture, shooting in new city’s
That's a really nice picture. You look like Lindsay Lohan when she was really young.
Astro and landscape have always been my favorites. Do it for personal enjoyment.
I took a class once but I've forgotten most of it. I still know how to frame a shot though. Cool picture is that you or one you took?
No.
I do not possess the inclination to make that many people vomit on a regular basis.
True.
I like microscopic naturalists taking photos of things nobody has really seen before, like insects and stuff.
I've no idea what I'm doing when it comes to photogrpahy
That's where everyone starts.
I did a lot of news photography for a while in school. I enjoyed it and made a little money.
@exitseven I did that as well, in my cousin's very well-equipped darkroom. It's gone the way of all things I think.
@exitseven Nice. I think I might have one of those as well actually.
I have it is fun. I'm learning more about it as I go. 😀🌞
Thought about it. I'm more into art sketching and painting
I would like to try with a professional camera. But so far I’ve only taken some wildlife pics on my iPhone which I’m quite happy with 😝
Yes I’m actually very good at it when I was in highschool people used to take me out of class to take pictures for them 😂
Yes, I owned Nikons and did my own photo lab work. Spent a ton of $ In Germany in the USAF. Film was it back in 1977-1981
Imagine the self-centeredness required to make a portfolio of pictures of yourself.
I've told girls I was so they would let me take naked pics of them haha
Yeah I did a couple of day courses a few years back and found them quite beneficial
I especially like bokeh, and for some times I take photos.
I do landscape photography it's fun going different places.
What the heck happened to my post here? 😳
What post
@Ruenella_ Exactly! lol I typed out an entire post/opinion about how I like photography, the things I like to take pictures of, gear, etc., and it was 100% posted, but when I came back here to read new posts to your question, mine was gone! lol
I don't remember seeing yours. Maybe a mod deleted it.
@Ruenella_ I have no idea why they would. There was nothing in there that would have caused them to delete it. 🤷🏼♂️ I guess it's gone to the ether forever. lol
With that said, I'll sum up my original post...
Although I am only an amateur/intermediate photographer, I do enjoy photography. Most of the things I take pics of are landscape and nature photography, abstract and some urban settings as well. I currently own a Nikon D3400 for better quality pics, as well as a Canon G16 compact that I enjoy too.
I'd also love to get back into film photography as well. I miss the look and the interactive tactility of it: loading the film, manually switching different settings (especially in the case of older film cameras), advancing each frame after each pic, rewinding the roll after it's done, etc. Also, what I really like about film is it really forces you to think about the composition of your next shot. Whereas with digital you can just take a million shots and erase whatever pics you don't like, with film you have to be more critical about every aspect of each shot because you only have 24-36 shots per roll (in the case of 35mm film), and you can't just take pictures willy-nilly or else you'll just waste film. There is something to be said about the common saying that "film forces you to be a better photographer". That, and I just love the look, feel and sturdiness of old film cameras...
... But part of what I like about photography (especially nature and landscape) is that it takes you to different, and sometimes even beautiful places that you may not always explore to, just so you can take pics. It also causes you to look at the world around you in a different and even more appreciable way, because it causes you to look everything in a very artistic way. And in the case of nature and landscape photography, things like getting out during sunrise and sunset times to take advantage of that kind of sky, as well as the light it casts on everything else, you also see things you may never see if you're at home just watching TV, or what have you. Photography gets you out to explore and look at everything around you in a very different way, as if it's an opportunity to capture it as something to admire. 🙂
Anyway, that was a little longer of a sum-up than I thought I was going to add, but there y'go. lol
That was beautiful
@Ruenella_ Awww, thanks! 😊 What did you like about what I had to say?
