We all make mistakes and do questionable things in life, but we have to learn from them or we are doomed to do them again and perhaps face worse consequences.

Yes, I am 'harsh' on myself if I make mistakes, especially if they hurt or are to the detriment of other people. But you can't take a mistake or questionable thing back unfortunately, all you can do is make sure you repent and don't do them again.

Personally, I think being harsh on yourself can be a good thing, as long as you don't turn it into self hatred or depression. By being moderately harsh on yourself you're educating yourself on why the thing you did was/is wrong, you're putting yourself in other people's shoes and learning how you'd feel if something they did harmed you in the same way.

It's alright to be harsh on yourself, but don't be so harsh on yourself that it harms you more than doing any good.

I am tolerant to mistakes as long as the person is open minded enough to see the mistake they made and fix it. If a person refuses to take accountability, that’s when a mistake becomes a choice
