Being asked to conserve power?

I don't get it. We have led light bulbs, led tvs now that barely draw any power at all along with several other items that barely use much power compared to years ago. Aren't we already reducing power?

but yeah... what people do at their homes does not really compare with what the industry does... production, all those robots, internet serves, mining crypto and all that shit

1. Because if it's a limited resource, then population growth and resource usage would simply shrink each person's alotted amount every year until no one had enough power per year to do anything with it.

2. It's not a limited resource, the sun and wind and rivers provide an unlimited amount of electricity. The only reason they tell us to conserve power is so people who own oil rigs, gas pumps, and shale beds, can stay in power longer. If we burned through all the fossil fuels quickly, there would be a massive economical power shift much sooner (for the better imho). You eould see green technology companies running the country instead of oil moguls.
