Growing up my brother had all of the castle sets. I am so excited that they brought them back!!

My parents always said they were torture devices created to hurt adults who walk around barefoot.
Although, maybe recycling them all into huge blocks to build houses out of would be a great way to use excess plastic and solve the housing problem at the same time.
My brothers liked them a lot, I personally would rather go play in the mud, they were just okay.
I actually meant, that to solve the plastic recycling problems the world has, all that plastic could be recycled into huge lego blocks to build houses... my bad, too big of a hurry while at work I guess.
Yeah, mud and sand was way more fun outside, I'm a very outdoors person... but the blanket idea could work too.
I did get that you were trying to solve the global plastic problem I did find it amusing though that it came out as a rework of all the Lego blocks. 😂😂
And that is totally fair! Mud is amazing! I only had a couple times in my life that I had to be hosed down from the amount of mud I soaked up… but I totally get your enjoyment in all the mud and sand. Do you prefer to be barefoot when possible too?
I'm always barefoot indoors, year round... in the summer outdoors if feasible. Sandals are great, in the winter though, boots and stuff for outdoors.
I grew up on farm house so we had canal water, soft sand... and well water. Getting hosed down by well water, freaking cold but worth it... also to avoid getting in trouble for ruining cloths, just removed them to play in the sand or mud.
Very rural, so not like a city with neighbors to bug us.
Hell nah those things are banned at my house

Being from Denmark and having an older brother, my childhood was filled with lego.
Mostly, I would be my brother's assistant, searching for the pieces he needed and giving them to him and such.
Nah I don't think it's cheap, the boxes you buy can get pretty expensive
Lego Technic was awesome, but I wouldn't buy any genuine Lego now.
Since their patents started expiring a few decades ago, they lost the ability to prevent other brands from copying them (not that you can really stop the Chinese anyway), and they just started making more and more sets based on other IPs (which are protected) - Star Wars, Harry Potter, real world car manufacturers, etc. They also seemed to shift more towards targeting geeky/nostalgic adults with more money, rather than children. Consequently, their sets are just obscenely expensive now, and not remotely worth it.
While I also don't really condone the Chinese brands making exact copies of existing Lego sets, many of them also sell their own original sets, and those represent great value, really highlighting how much of a rip-off Lego has become.
Love them never got tired of building with legos either

I do, very much. Always have. Also have a YT channel about them. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqII-5lQzrGSGPKlMstPIOQ

I could never afford Legos growing up. I had to use Mega Bloks. ☹

Still, Legos are cool though. The ones that actually still LET YOU build stuff though, and not all that pre-made, licensed BS.

When I was a 6 year old, they were cheap, you could get a box for $20.00 - Now you have to be an engineer or accountant to have that kind of money
