Whats your stance on OG Napster issue of free music downloads?

I think now that artists or influencers are coming out of the woodwork, I’m wondering how people think if their media was handed out free online.

If I own the song, I can give it to whomever I want

The artist deserves compensation per consumer

I remember Napster from yours past they last a court case involving upcoming musicians and old musician ofs. Napster lost the lawsuit. I started charging membership fees and it dependent part who you listen to and how much you paid for the music you want to copy. I stop listening to Napster at that time.

I remember the old Napster that was free. I downloaded stuff I never thought I wlould hear again. I still have it all on my hard drive.

You must have a very old computer. I too downloaded a lot of music. I stopped using Napster before the suit. There was a big thing a lot on the news before the suit started.

I remember one 14-16 year old had the law show up as she had downloaded around 4000 songs. Poor parents if they didn’t know.

YouTube surely made me pay for it... with their trillions of ads per song/video

and a couple of times they had no "skip button" for an option

I pay yt 15/mo to not see the ads i make. I can't stand it

I just use a browser that blocks YouTube ads you make, by default... lol

@dustybiker Brave... it's the skeleton and structure of Google Chrome but without all the google stuff

so all the trackers and clutter is gone, and it is built to block YouTube ads and other add banners by default

@NathanDavis Thankfully she gets paid if you watch them. So it does help her a little bit. The no skips are usually ten-14 second ads. (End her defense lol)
