Frankly, how offensive do you find the idea of “a bug that thinks”?

This is such a great movie! It’s one of those that any time i stumble upon it on TV, i can enjoy it beginning to end or just bits and pieces. I own it too, so i’ll just dig it out and watch it sometimes. What do you think of “Starship Troopers”? Is there a movie that you enjoy similarly, any time and any place, for any reason or no reason at all?

I just thought of how they eat their prey. Eating you alive starting with the head, sucking your insides until you're but a shell, paralyzers, poison. Nooo thank you.

Ell oh ell! Nature can seem brutal! Another observation of privilege though, i think. To the best of my knowledge, human beings are the first and only species to effectively remove ourselves from the middle of the food chain. Some people think some of our phobias are a kind of genetic memory of a time when we were much more vulnerable creatures.

I saw Starship Troopers but it must have been during then years that I was drinking heavily because I do not remember much about it.

Saw it in theatres & a bug that thinks is interesting because humans automatically assume intelligent life will look like them
