Yes! My granny used to have it and my dad loved it when he was younger, they still had it when I was little so I would play it. It was one of my favourite things about going to my granny’s house
Hell yes. I used to fight with my cousins to take turns so they lose and it’s my turn again 🤣

Of course! I still play it. I love the OG classics.
Yes, one of the first games I ever played
Hell, I have played the original Mario Brothers, which is several years older than SUPER Mario Brothers. I played all the big early games the first year they were released. Missile Command, Space Invaders, Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Asteroids, Defender, Galaxian, Star Castles, Omega Race, etc. The only big one that I missed was Pong, which was a few years before my time.

Footage of the original Mario Bros., with the first appearance of Luigo (the Game & Watch crap doesn't count, and weren't arcade games).
Hell yeah. I think it was Christmas of ‘87 or ‘88 when I came out to the living room and saw the NES box propped up against the fireplace. I went nuts lmao. But it of course came with the Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt combo, and I had a ton of fun with it. I probably faded on it a bit when I got stuff like Blades Of Steel and Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out, plus getting into renting games from video stores. But Super Mario Bros. is the OG, and always has my respect.
I'm 21 but we grew up poor so we had nes system, Nintendo 64, sega Saturn, sega genesis and duck hunter with the orange tipped rifle and the three cords going into the TV. I still have the sega Saturn and duck hunter. We also had mostly vhs. First time I used a DVD i thought that it was a gift from the gods because anytime I wanted to watch vhs my brothers would normally not rewind it back and I'd spend like 10 minutes to start a movie.
Loved that game.
Our family's NES is still in good shape.
It's being "well-preserved" by my brother.
Original games mostly still working, including our Super Mario Bros.
I played it on the Switch cus it's one of the free retro game you get with Nintendo online. I didn't think it was very good, I got bored after like 15 minutes lol
Yep, I played it when I was a kid.
I still own my original NES, and the original cartridge, in fact. None of that emulator garbage, for me. 😂
Yes @Still-alive
I have played the original 😩
congrats!
Toad is clearly flipping us off there by the way lol. little jerk smh
No, we grew up with Sega, we weren't Nintendo kids.
Sega? ewww.
jk
Haha people speak of the US being polarized, but they have no idea about the brutal polarization between Sega kids and Nintendo kids :D
Yep. 1987. My dad got a Nintendo along with a few games and used to trick me into jumping down holes. For the past 20 plus years, he asks me for help on either Maniac Mansion (Great fuckin game) or how to save the princess.
Yessir i played it on original nes, my dad bought it when i was kid and i loooooove it so much
Oh hack yeah, I am 80s baby, and I grew up on Super Mario Bros when my parents bought it for me when I was a kid.
