Are you all sure that the reaction is not exactly what attracts them? I would go on and they will see that I'm a boring waste of their time.

Hold up a sign that says "stop spying on me or else." If the operator doesn't get the message, throw rocks at the propellers knocking it out of the sky then bust it up with a baseball bat.
