They are good pictures. I am surprised he only took 2,000 as I can shoot that in a short vacation it seems.

‘What I think when k see them is: 1) Stalingrad. They are going to have a hard winter and will likely die. 2) I didn’t know Germans had flamethrowers, I thought that was the Americans, 3) Tank, 1944. I wonder of the realized that the war would end soon and that they would lose. 4). That looks like a beach, I wonder if that was Dunkirk. 5) This picture more than the others makes you feel that you are there. 6). Brown shirts. I wonder if Hitler practiced getting his arm so straight as I know he practiced his mannerisms. 7) Pope. A lot of kids got a raw deal and were cannon fodder. I am glad he was just in the Luftwaffe as that’s easier to understand than the SS if he was going to be Pope.

Pretty amazing. WW2 has been over for 70 years and yet the after effects still persist on the whole world.
