I don't need to see these pictures. As my Father did 3 tours in Vietnam. He was a helicopter mechanic. He used to fly out to the fields to pick up the dead, dying and wounded. The blood paved the floor of the helicopter and they would burn strawberry incense to mask the smell. Of course, my Father had PTSD. He used to walk the floor with a shotgun after I was born. When his health deteriorated I was tasked with placing him in a nursing home. I got a call at 2 AM from staff telling me that my Father was saying that the "VC were coming to get him." The clueless staff did not understand what he was talking about. They were too young to understand his war history. Needless to say, I gave them a history lesson. I have pictures he took of mass graves of Vietnamese that social media would not approve.

The last one is my favorite of these photos.
The one with the wounded Marine. He looks like he's mourning for his fallen brother who didn't make it.
The 10,000 day war. The amount of casualties the U. S. suffered in Vietnam was staggering.
