What do people find appealing about Taylor Swift's music?

I figured I would give her a chance to win me over since she is so popular these days so I set the radio to the Taylor Swift channel (XM Sirius) while running a bunch of errands today. Maybe it's because I'm not a 12 year old girl but I found her music to be utterly forgettable, repetitive, and just plain boring. I won't be visiting that channel again.

People who listen to music these days are not real music fans, they are just brainwashed consumers. They have no concept of musicianship or on how they are being scammed with auto-tune, pitch correction and other computer trickery. ANYONE can make music now, no talent necessary.

I also find is hilarious that it takes 5 songwriters to put together an annoying jingle that can be put together on a laptop in 5 minutes a-la Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande etc.

I think she has good melodies and tonal range but I don't listen to her lyrics cause they are toxic. I had a dream telling me I needed to avoid music with bad lyrics so I won't listen to anything other than religious music.

What music do you like, and what about it appeals to you?

I like classic rock. Old Bob Dylan songs blow me away. And the last few years I've really started appreciating Led Zeppelin and their incredible musicianship.

So I like good music and mind-bending lyrics. As opposed to TS and her rote music and mind-numbing lyrics.
