Do you feel like The Amazing Spider-Man 2 was rushed, and how would you do things different to better this franchise if you could?

From looking at this movie, I feel like some things were rushed and I wanna see my fellow Spider-Man fans think. My big concern is kind of controversial potentially. I think Gwen Stacey didn't need to die in this movie. I think we could have a movie where they end together poetic like at the end of the movie here on the bridge in a kind of "Romeo and Juliet" thing and I dont think she needs to die yet because we need more time to develop Harry as a villain and we need more time with Gwen and to fix all the relationship stuff thats making the movies plot look bad. Electro, he was going good for the most part. You spent the first half of the movie with him as Max Dillon and cared about him and then he became Electro. That was brilliant, even if it made the action happen a little later than desired. However contextual scenes like with his mom were cut. In the second half, having him in the prison kind of undermined him as a villain, at least to me. here's why, he's kept in here by an oscorp worker and only freed by Harry Osborn. Is Harry Osborn supposed to be the main antaganist now? This movie doesn't know what to do with these two characters and having them team up because they need time to develop both of them. Harry is developed pretty well, he just doesn't want to die and is dissapointed with Spider-Man when he fails to give him what he promised, but the general audience didn't understand this. I dont wanna ramble, just had to explain those things so we have context the fix the film. I think Electro needs to be the main villain and show him slowly descend into more and more villainy in the second half of the film and have the things he says make sense, he can still want power because he literally is very powerful with his Electricity, and he can say that power and mercy thing but after he's developed more. Give him better motivations. Maybe he views new york as degenerate and blames them for his problems and thinks Spider-Man is liar and protecting people from him

They tried to do too much by lumping in all the villains and involving Harry. I think to some degree they were trying to follow the original Amazing Spider-Man comic arc where she was killed off. They were also throwing in stuff about Peter's real dad and such. Electro was lousy villain in my opinion. What should have been done was have Harry become the Hobgoblin, eliminate Electro entirely from the movie and have Hobgoblin be the one who kills or badly injures Gwen. I could go either way on whether or no she should have been killed. The sub plot with Pete's dad was fine but they could have tweaked it some. If you have Hobgoblin badly injure or kill Gwen, then escape at the end, you allow for a better sequel.

Yeah, Emma Stone was hot as Gwen Stacey in the first one and she definitely shouldn't have died in the second one. It ruined it, and Jaimie Fox wasn't my favorite as Electro. I barely remember that movie because it was disappointing.

I didn't like Spider-man No way Home either it was too depressing.

I am cool with Electro and I liked him at the time and was excited to see him but now I think he might be too powerful to incorporate into the second movie and maybe vulture, scorpion, shocker, or kraven, some variant of these, could have appeared instead.

I am Autistic and I think in concepts and often linear and I have this thing where the sequela nd threequel movies have to get bigger and better and with superhero movies I think the first villain should be weakest and second villain stronger and then the third movie villain has to top the first two and be even stronger and more powerful

Yeah I liked Michael Keaton's Vulture from the Tom Holland series. They should've had him in Amazing Spider-Man 2 and kept Emma Stone around.

It would be interesting to have him have similar motivations and see Andrew Garfield sympathize with the villain and end up redeeming him. And then after this story arc ends, the villain is Green Goblin and he gets the symbiote and stops trying to redeem his villains. This would have provided more story structure and character development.

I felt that the Harry osborn green goblin shouldn't have been in it, such a waste. Gwen Stacey was probably the best spider man girlfriend. I think there should have been a 3rd movie.

Keep You cut out unneccesary stuff and have the main focus in the first half be Peter Parker and Gwen taking a break, but not break up break up, decide if gonna be together mins, develop electro, bring harry back, establish long lost friends, Peter and Gwen hang out and get along really well as buddies big 10 minute long scene, and have Max transform into electro in times square and Spider-Man actually moves him somewhere else to talk and they fight there after Electro reveals his plans steal power from the power plant so he can survive, which would hurt innocent people. Spider-Man knocks him out and he's taken to ravencroft mental institution and Spider-Man says your gonna be transported somewhere better. Peter Parker gets a job at an OFFICIAL daily bugle, Introduce Eddie Brock and Mary Jane, but dont have them cloud the movie much. Eddie Brock becomes Peter Parkers friend, figures out he's Spider-Man and he teaches him better fighting styles, as all he knows is the Way of the Spider. Oscorp interrupts Max Dillons. Oscorp frees Electro from Raven croft and tries to control him and tries to have him cause havok in central park because people there make oscorp look bad somehow. Electro wants to be a superhero like spider man, so he decides he's not gonna cause havok, he tries to control his powers. The russian mgang with alekesi systevich steals from oscorp and Oscorp tells him to fight them. Electro almost kills aleksei sytsevich and then oscorp bad guy who control him tells him no dont we need him. Electro gets more power after finding a power source and starts attacking people that Oscorp makes him attack innocent people Spider-Man comes in and is like what are you doing man and then he says that there controlling me there making me do it

They should have introduced Venom as an antihero villian in amazing spiderman 2 with Tom Hardy setting it up for mulitverse of madness. They could have done that and just pretend he was Tobey's Venom just have Tom Hardy play him instead of Eric Foreman

Im having a hard time with this electro character. I want him to be good, and then anti hero, and then anti villalin or villain. I want him to be a villain and I know in the current story there was supposed to be an interaction between spider man and electro where they just talk and he tries to calm him down but that sniper ruined it. I want to do unique things with electro and with the story that was already there electro seemed to be bullied by that doctor guy. And the big oscorp bad guys were involved with harry but not much with electro or that wasn't shown or explained. So I want Electro to be initially a anti hero with understandale goals that can become twisted but then oscorp tries to corrupt him.
