+1 yJoker, in 2019. I'd been told people were being advised not to see it, and assumed that was due to fears of a repetition of the Dark Knight shootings. I have NO patience for terrorism of ANY kind, so I went to see it out of spite, despite not having much interest in Batman (at the point in life where teen angst hits hardest, I was reading Les Miserables, a book with quite a bit of angsty sorrow. It peaks at a point where the main character, a former convict who's broken his parole and completely turned his life around, becoming mayor of a small town and running a jet factory. He discovers that a man who looks like him has been captured, and is facing life imprisonment for that crime- he intends to turn himself in, but realizes all the people he's employing will be out on the street without him, and faces a moment of crippling indecision. There's even a song about it in the play, and it's easily the most broody moment. It goes on for about a page and a half, then he makes up his mind.). It turns out that wasn't the reason (that was for some truly disturbing social things), and it actually isn't a Batman movie, but I'm glad I saw it, because it's excellent.

The only reason we went was because we had no electricity and the house was getting too cold. By the time the movie was over we had power back.

Last show I was watching that went to the theater. They were watching Back to the Future, so ripping their experience since I had to experience it too. (Why do I head @sirderpsalot123 voice in my head as I type that but have no idea what he sounds like? 😂)315 Reply- +1 y

@sirderpsalot123 I was making it abnormal? Huh.

Yes... You have always had this profile picture.

@sirderpsalot123 You’re the only one who noticed it missing. 🥸

@Fuentes Ah. Well I did originally. But the cartoon woman looked like me and kicked the bag like me.. it’s @sirderpsalot123 who didn’t like it and kept on about it. In fairness I hadn’t liked his Pervy avatar and teased him a bit about that too.
- +1 y
@dustybiker I only brought it up one time. You were relentless with Pervy! 😂
- +1 y
@sirderpsalot123 Relentless? 😂

@dustybiker Yeah. You constantly picked on him 😒

Never gave Pervy a chance.

Yeah he was flying the helicopter.

Yeah it was cool, Sylvester Stallone was hanging from the landing gear of the helicopter, then Tom Cruise shot a missile and blew them up.
Awesome movie 10/10. The Jessica Alba sex scene with Vanessa Hudgens was hot, but too much nude vagina to show on the big screen like that, being a family movie and all. - +1 y
@ChiTown33
Yeah she was there flying one of the enemy planes. That was the big surprise.

You are right it was really good. (Watched the most recent first)
I disagreed with the ending, so rewriting it in my own mind. She had too much spunk just yet.
+1 yIt was one of the Harry Potter movies, I remember because my wife had reread the book before we went to watch it and complained about everything that was cut out during the whole movie. On the plus side the popcorn was good.

I suspect there are many other wonderful movies that are out or will come out this holiday season. Maybe we will get a chance to have a date night and go see one, just the two of us (my hubby and I)
