Disney's ultra-woke new animated movie Strange World, is one of the biggest box office bombs of all time. What is your opinion on this?

Disney's new animated movie, Strange World, is filled with lots of woke propaganda, "white men bad" messaging, misandry and "toxic masculinity" messages, LGBT propaganda, anti-human messaging, anti-fossil fuel messaging and 'global warming' fear messages, and all other kinds of messaging.

The movie cost $180 million to make (not counting marketing, which usually doubles the budget, so it's closer to $350 million total), and only made $18 million this five-day Thanksgiving weekend, beating John Carter (of Mars), The Lone Ranger, and Mars Needs Moms as one of the biggest box office flops in Disney and movie history.

This is coming after Disney's Lightyear, filled with LGBT propaganda aimed at young children (including the infamous lesbian kiss), and a ton of other Marvel flop and failures throughout 2021 and 2022, including Marvel's unpopular flop from two weeks ago, Wakanda Forever. A high ESG score can't save Disney from this failure! Can't blame it on anti-woke, recently fired CEO Bob Chapek, either!

The movie is also critically panned as being awful, story wise. Someone said it's a script written by "Libs of Tik Tok." There's literally even a disabled dog in it!

Now, I'm not one for Schadenfreude. But I'm soaking in all the Schadenfreude here.

I think they are getting money for making woke movies from like the US government. I know California is planning to give studios $330 million annually in tax credits for diversity.

It's also with price of going to the movies and inflation are you really going to waste a movie ticket seeing woke trash espicially when it will be on the streaming service in a month and those that watch will watch the first 10 minutes and turn it off. Remember how they told us how great Captain Marvel was and how many suckers bought tickets yet they are so unconfident in a Captain marvel 2 movie that they've waited nearly 5 years and is going to make more of a team up movie with other superheroes. Disney shows are pure crap, they own nearly all the biggest and best potential cash cows yet keep dropping the ball.

Netflix is hit and miss, they've all this wokeness in shows that nobody watches. Then they ruined the witcher. All those lgbtq movies and TV shows ultimately you are only going to get 1% of the population potentially and if you get more it's because the boring lesbian movie has guy's favourite actresses getting their tits out, like that shit days of mercy with Kate mara and Ellen page. I only watched because I wanted to see their tits and flicked it on to the sex part. I remember the top TV shows on netflix were star trek next generation, DS9, VOY, Enterprise, TOS yet nobody was clearly watching the new started STD woke series.

Captain Marvel was so heavily promoted as being feminist, that Disney themselves bought up half of the ticket sales, JUST to artificially push it to a billion dollars and make it look like a success (though to be fair, Disney does this ALL THE TIME with the parks, and the entire music industry also does this; how do you think so many sh*tty artists and music come out nowadays and end up "successful"?) They did it with the first Black Panther as well, but that movie wasn't as universally maligned and they didn't need to cheat as much with it.

As far as Netflix goes? They've been dying for two years now. Disney+ and Amazon Prime killed half of their business, and their woke dogsh*t and pissing off the entire anime community killed the other half. Netflix is literally about to go bankrupt any day now. The sad irony is, they HAD enough successful original programming to be their own successful entity. They just don't promote the few good shows they have, and they greenlight all this woke crap no one wants. So Netflix is 90% crap with some hidden gems mixed among the sea of trash. And the reason they DID ruin anime and game franchises so much was literally just to spite Marvel. They figured "Marvel does superheroes, so we'll do anime and gaming!" And of course, they couldn't help but f*ck up everything they touch.

Star Trek Discovery is on CBS All Access/Paramount+, but that streaming service is dead, too.

The first Captain Marvel was a legit flop if you don't cunt Disney cheating it into looking like a billion dollar movie. So many theater workers came out to reveal how empty rows of seats had been bought for people who never showed up for the movies, and how it all seemed really weird that all tickets had been sold for a movie no one liked, and no one showed up to actually see, that still had tickets sold online.

Captain Marvel had so many bad user reviews that Rotten Tomatoes literally changed the way the entire site works, just to protect the movie, and made it so that you couldn't give early reviews anymore. RT, since then, has been exposed as an unreliable shill site for woke Hollywood and most people generally believe the opposite of what they say now (bad reviews equals good movie, good reviews equals sh*tty movie), but this was brand new at the time in 2019.

And yes, now Brie Larson has been silently written out of the MCU, with "The Marvels" being her last contractually obligated appearance. But besides one insignificant cameo in Miss Marvel (an equally unpopular show based on an equally bad character from the comics), Larson has been out of the MCU since Endgame. Even Disney hates her.

What I have noticed from the Disney and the media is that they spend an awful lot of time promoting stuff that nobody wants to watch and then telling us how popular it is and anyone who genuinely doesn't like is a racist, sexist, islaphobic white Supremacist incel. They just fired Bob Chapek, who was reversing all of this woke stuff and brought back the man who put it all into place, Bob Iger. They also lost a TON of money between the Disney parks shutting down for two years due to COVID. They lost money from them opposing the Florida Parental Rights and Education Bill that opposes groomers and LGBT sexuality to second graders AND Ron DeSantis ending their tax breaks in Florida for it. And the buyout of FOX, which Disney still hasn't made its money back on, yet.

Disney is hiding it's money from investors and shareholders, and many of them are pulling out between their chaotic management with the Chapek/Iger situation. However, even IF Disney goes bankrupt, Apple has expressed interest in buying them. Sadly, Disney is "too big to fail." Or more so, "too corrupt to let fail."

Considering I've never heard of the movie and never seen any advertising for it, I'm not sure it being "woke" was its real problem. I suspect it was just a shit movie and the studio knew it, which is why they didn't really advocate for it.

I'm excited to watch it because I liked the posters. It looks like it will be creative and fun. I haven't heard much about it and didn't even see any trailers (which is odd for a Disney movie), but I want to go in fairly open, so I didn't read the description yet. So I disagree on this one. I am very sad more people didn't see the movie. I actually think it might be my favorite movie now. Yeah it's a bit heavy-handed with the eco messaging, but it still makes sense in the movie. The characters' act natural for their situation, they aren't just props to spread an agenda.

As far as propaganda, the only "anti-human," "white man bad," "+lgbt," or "toxic masculinity" in it was that there were humans, men, white men, and lgbt people in the movie. I didn't pick up any of that negative or positive type of messaging from it though. It just seemed like fun depictions of various characters, each with strengths and weaknesses unrelated to those parts of their identity.

It was a really fun movie actually, and even if I disagreed with the message, I'd still enjoy it. I love explorer movies. I hope it gets more popular after more people know about it, I can't believe it was barely advertised. It's like it was set up to flop.
