Do they find it funny? Find it attractive?
Which one? Most Americans know that there are (or at least realize that there should be) several accents in the area; we don't expect to hear "he's a bloody sod" in received pronunciation any more than we expect to hear nasal New York diatribes in the flat Midwestern accent all our movie stars use.

I like it and tend to use it a lot myself. I like the slang and the usage of words that we never thought of but a couple things bug me about it. Instead of saying Zee, you change it to a person's name, Zed. Instead of saying, H (Aych), all of a sudden, you have to say, Haych. And, instead of, 'school" or, "schedule", you say, "Shool" or, "Shedule" (your shed is dueling?) and I don't understand why you say things like "hospital" or "library" instead of "the hospital/library" but you talk about "the car/bus/garage", etc. instead of just "car/bus/garage".
It's a curse. A curse we americans do to mock... well actually it's a curse for me. I think it makes the British sound either smarter than us... or can't understand a thing they're saying.

Depends on which one since there are many. Some sound sophisticated and charming, but listening to some others is a lot like nails on a chalkboard.
