Or vice versa?

I tested myself while scrolling through FB and IG and find I usually look at the image first. I believe it's because it's usually the largest part of the frame and it tells me I'm visual first.

It might depend upon the particular meme, but usually it does not make complete sense till the pic is seen and the words are read.
