This is really a no brainer. I would say, "thank you for your candidness as it relates to the possibility of us moving into a formalized boy/girlfriend situation." Then, I would remove myself from her life so that she realizes that I am there for more than friends. Simultaneously, I would be dating around. And in fact, this would be the reasons for my absences from the friendship.
You are in the friend zone. She probably likes the way things are and doesn't want to change anything. I had this happen to me with guys before too. It stings a bit but there are other girls out there. :)
I know I can fuck the world. It's not hard. But how do I make this work? She's extremely introverted and anti social but I like her. Plus, I don't think I'll am interested in friendship at this point so it's either I'll try and leave or just leave.
