Mostly after each error. Particularly if I catch it as I type it. What will usually stop me to make me go fix something are the obnoxious underlines in Word or Outlook when I make a mistake so I go fix those to make them go away. (And, yes, I know I can turn the lines off, but, well, although they're obnoxious, they serve their purpose.)
And then I always go back and proof one last time.
Grammarly works wonderfully
if I'm just texting a friend I'm not going to correct my errors but if I'm talking to somebody I need to be more formal and serious with like my part-time boss, teachers, etc, i'll correct them after I'm finished typing up the email to correct any errors.
For here, i don't check for errors.
For school, work or actually important things. I check as i go, and go back and check a 2nd and 3rd time before submitting
