The ones in commercials and other media for California raisins in the 1980s.
Gladys Knight and the Pips.
Although, I'm not totally fond of the song, to be perfectly honest.
I love Gladys but what I love about Marvins is the women singing in the background. His version used to come on tv commercials so im obsessed with that one haha. But this is my other fave one. I remember jammin to it in preschool

For me, Marvin Gaye's rendition is a close second, but I voted CCR because it has a certain swagger to it that I really like. Marvin is soulful, but the swagger of CCR edges just ahead for me. I like the original by Gladys Knight & The Pips too, but the Zapp & Roger one is just a no for me. Just not my style.
This is the most kick ass version of the song I've ever heard. Leave it to the one and only, inimitable, Joe Cocker.

https://www.youtube.com/embed/DV_nGyjwISkAfter that, Creedence and the original Marvin Gaye version.
Bella I think the only versions I can remember hearing are those by Marvin Gaye and CCR. I really like both of those a lot and I can't pick one over the other. It's a really good song.

I'd never heard the Gladys Knight version. Cool.
It's funny how one tends to assume the first version you hear was the first version of a song.
Beebella 🐝, what about the M&Ms commercial version?
I was GONNA go with the original, Marvin but, I went with CCR.
The raisins version
Marvin Gaye's is the only one that matters.
Marvin Gaye
The one that has the most SOUL.
Marvin's, and then CCR's.
Marvin Gaye
Marvin Gaye.
I think the orginal
