So far I have watched

• Avatar the way of water
• Everything everywhere all at once
• All quiet on the western front
• Puss n boots the last wish
• Del Toro's Pinocchio
• The sea beast
• Turning red

Im currently watching Elvis.

The Academy Awards are an industrial event. I don’t care about them at all. I might be persuaded by people’s choice awards occasionally. Usually if i’m not sold by a trailer, i won’t often change my mind about a film unless someone i know and trust influences my decision to see or not to see.

I could have gone without it... lol

I'll be watching “Tár” though... Blanchett might not disappoint

I don't care about that, but from your list I have seen Avatar and turning red.
I watch a lot of movies and sure did a few of them got an Oscar but I don't care about the Oscars... so I don't know what movie got an Oscar

"Everything Everywhere All at Once" is my favorite of those listed. Great acting by Michelle Yeoh.

Tár was good, but I'm biased because I am a classical music fanatic.

Avatar was boring, but I was not really a big fan of the first one either so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

Have not seen the others on the list yet. Will update as I do.

I saw "Elvis", the evening before Lisa Marie Presley passed on. It was kind of eerie that she died the day after I saw that movie.

In spite of that, it was a good movie and I liked the acting.

It was a bit long and slow to take off, and not as groundbreaking as the first movie, but still a decent show.

Yeah plot was lacking as with the first. I only watched it because a friend of mine actually worked on it (editing).

Thats cool to know someone on the production side in Hollywood. I know a few people who had minor parts in Game of Thrones, but not many other people from showbiz.

Yeah the movie was filmed here and Weta FX (founded by Peter Jackson) worked on the visual effects on the movie

Yeah I recall Peter Jackson seeking out an alternative to IL&M when filming the Lord of the Rings trilogy in NZ due to the high cost.

I couldn't either, but I was tired. LOL It did seem to drag on and was rather sadder than I expected. Also, I don't really know the facts surrounding the whole story, so I didn't know how much was Hollywood and how much was true.

I thought it was weird that modern music was playing every now and then for the movie music. Threw me off hearing Doja Cat 😂
