When you think "before the dinosaurs", what comes to mind?

Jellyfish and other weird sack-like creatures (Ediacaran)

Odd crustaceans and worms (Cambrian)

Trilobites and nautiloids (Ordovician)

Sea scorpions and jawless fish (Silurian)

Armored fish and primitive amphibians (Devonian)

Swamps and giant bugs (Carboniferous)

Proto-mammals and weird reptiles (Permian)

Mostly think Permian, before that big extinction. But if you look earlier, might as well go to inflation.

Mostly giant bugs. I believe there were scorpions the size of grown men

An empty planet aside from the water and plants that make Earth what it is. Any intelligent life before dinosaurs feels just as prehistoric. (I’m not sure why they wouldn’t also be considered dinosaurs.)

Hey speaking of which, do you know if they make any kind of appearance in thy Holy Bible? I know dinosaurs get mentioned but I don’t recall any beings from Triassic/before Triassic or even Cenozoic animals. In my comic book version of it and all I’ve read so far which is almost half only animals from this very day are shown. Tigers, elephants, lions, deer, all of them but no Smilodons or Arambourgianias.
