What came before this?

Einstein’s equations implied that the universe had expanded from a “singularity” — a mathematical point where time began and the radius of the universe was zero. What was the nature of the universe and reality before the "big bang"? How were time and matter created?

I started in again with the math for this this stuff and I keep winding up with impossible endings. Headache time.

the ultimate "chicken and egg" problem... except were talking seemingly infinite amount of energy. I've been watching videos on this, the latest in science, spacetime, the universe, and it is not so clear.

Einstein's equations work at a large level but not at the small apparently.

As well, we apparently can trace the universe back to a fraction of a second before "big bang"... but what before that, is unknown. How do you get so much matter and energy from nothing?

And how is the universe still expanding... where's the energy come from...

None of it makes any sense...

I can only imagine what possible discoveries await the scientific community as technology improves and our ability to observe and understand gets better. Who knows whom will and when? Best thing to do is to accept it as something not known yet, like what I'm going to eat for breakfast next Thursday.

Excellent question. I would add this question:. As the Universe is expanding, what is the Universe expanding into? Whatever it is it must me infinite, but how can anything be infinite?

I try not to think of such things. Scientists still can't reliably predict if it will rain tomorrow. That question is a lot more pertinent than what happened trillions of years ago.

People can't even comprehend a million. Infinity is completely out of reach. Not worth thinking about.

If there was always nothing then there can be not be Something as Something can not self-conceive, generate, start etc. So, Physics Is, therefore, there had to be existing Mass, Energy, and Motion or Something.

Given Mass can not self-create, Energy did not self-conceive and generate into itself, and Motion is not able to self-start THEN there has always been Something. Now….

the Aristotelian First Cause, Cause Is too or there would not be Something (Physics). Something no more self conceive, generate, or start than the most basic elements of Physics can.
And as it relates to First Cause, Creator: every Effect has a Cause…not every cause has a cause as that end in a linear egress or.9999 into infinitude.
So, until someone can show me otherwise, within the framework of common Science and sense, I’m going with a Creator, God.

And I will certainly concede that evolution and Laws of Psychic are methods and means provided by First Cause, Creator God.

That is actually a pretty good question and I think I've asked it previously or something like it on this site. I think my exact question was something like where is consciousness located? Obviously, Nobody Knows the answer to this question including me.

Being is a sum of the Soul (Immaterial Overseer and Intellect) + Mind (CPU or Mechanism) + Body (self-explanatory) in concert synthesizes into Behavior.

Conscious and conscience resides in the Soul as it holds awareness and oversees via conscience, free will, innate right/wrong knowing. The Soul's "tools of supervision" are most often noticed and applied when Behavior appears.

The Soul of the Man can live without the Body but the Mind/Body can not live without the Soul

Location is silliness as the Soul Is or there would not be Intellect. Because it can not be located does not mean that Soul is not.

The brain is a processing center that receives and sends. Intellect is not the brain. The Soul, whether immaterial, spirit, or intellect is as much a creation as the Body. The Soul as a created entity is mortal.
