When readings series. Do you always start at book 1 I have so many incomplete series so just thinking of treating them as standalone even if book 11?

Would it be a bad idea? I always try read front to back every series it just trying find all the books to collect takes time and just want a good read.

I would never read them out of order

Yes, as they usually build upon each other and continue the story.

Some books belong to a series but each one tells a complete story and only reference the previous one in a half sentence, but even these i would read from book 1.
