I just finished reading The Handmaid's Tale a while ago and I just finished season 1 of the series on Hulu. I'm now watching the second season.

Nope, since I know how much of a book snob I am haha! I either like one and dont bother with the other because I just KNOW i will annoy myself with the thoughts and criticism I will impose on the experience. Like I get it, its hard to condense all the contents of a book into a movie. Especially if its only ever going to be a "one-off" As in, never going to get a sequel. so trying to fit all the important parts while leaving out what you can while still maintaining the integrity and life of the original iteration is a hard feat to manage ( can you tell how much of a snob im being with this very explanation? 😂😂) and many just can't accomplish it. Harry Potter movie series though is a good example of pulling it off. As well as Lord of the Rings but the producers and writers were ALLOWED to lengthen the movie to capture the full beauty of the books. Most movie renditions don't get to have that kind of capital which is unfortunate.
I just have no interest in reading so I always see the film adaptation. I admit, I read Hamlet and The Watsons Go to Birmingham before seeing their films because we were forced to in school. But i wasn't the type to voluntarily read outside of class. Even when it came to the movie A Series of Unfortunate Events with Jim Carrey, I saw that before considering the book. But the books were just too long. Twilight, Harry Potter, etc, all just saw the movies
I checked 50 Shades of Grey snippets but the first two films were pathetic
Of course or more likely I will watch a series but then read the books right away realise the book is way better then quite said show for the book. Or I will read the book before I watch the show. I have a typically have a firm stance on doing this. However Irony be it I haven't done such thing with handmaiden tail but the show was the great I don't see how it could be distasteful to the book.
No. I watched The Witcher because of the video game (which yes, like the series, was based on books). The video game was much better written than the series.
And I don't recall books for Breaking Bad and Stranger Things, the other series I have been watching, though there may be such.

I try not to for fear of tarnishing my version of the story. The point of reading is to leave the fill-details up to the readers imaginations. In some cases like “The Client” that movie was far better than the book (in my opinion) in others… ugh.
I've heard about the "Handmaid's Tale" and I hated it.
Anyways, there is a book that I love and it was supposed to turn into a series but then the pandemic started and the producers had to postpone it. I'm still waiting for it.
If you ever look at credits in the beginning you will be very surprised how many series are based on books
The Handmaid's Tale is brutal but I loved it. I won't spoil it for you.
No I happen to just watch them out of nowhere, but incase I get to know there is a book 📕 I get it and read.
No, but did end up watching Hannibal several years ago.
