It appears to be a blatant ripoff of the book "Heir to the Empire" while replacing all of the main characters except for Thrawn with Filoni's characters, so no, I don't think it's going to be any good, or at least not good enough to revitalize the franchise.
I don't watch TV.

What’s it about
More or less it follows Ahsoka, who was the apprentice of Anakin Skywalker (Darth Vader), as she unravels the mystery of the return of Thrawn (famous character from Star Wars expanded Universe). It seems to imply she works alongside the members of the Rebels tv series (a cartoon series that was one of the best things Disney put out in Star Wars).
Some believe it will try to follow loosely the storyline of the Heir to the Empire trilogy (arguably the most influential star wars novels, that came out in the early 1990s).
But no one knows for certain the exact plot.
Sounds good, but I thought it was real actors not cartoons
It is real.
The Rebels cast is a live action version of the cartoon characters.

Honestly, it gives me the most hope I have had in a while for Star Wars.
Disney has done a great job of running the franchise into the ground.
