Want to see home entertainment in 1905 was like?

I was just given this 1905 Thomas Edison cylinder record player by my great uncle (he is 105 years old)

The video is from YouTube, but it is exactly the same one my uncle just gave me.

I knew of these but never really saw one being played except in the movie Tomorrow Land by Disney with George Clooney when they needed the Edison Tube to activate a machine. It’s a definite cool antique that Edison created, now we are back to vinyl again

Very cool, I saw a short report about these machines a few years ago. If memory serves right, you could buy the music cylinders till the 1960s?
