Why are there so few white characters in anime? ?

Anime usually simplifies normalized people for quick associative effect and the majority of people who purchase Anime are Asian, so since China has around 1/3 of the world's population, it makes more sense to simplify an Asian character than a European or American one.

It's really unlikely because why will will they even add many black or white characters when everything else in Japanese? Also they won't make a non Japanese a lead in anime because, why will they? It makes no sense for a random white or black to be staying in Japan and speaking Japanese out of nowhere.

It won't be wrong, but different for sure, If it's an animation series from Japan. It would make sense if they released such animation series in America or Africa where Blacks are more common. It'll be uncommon in anime for this to happen.
