I listen to a lot of rap, my parents don't like rap at all. Are you like my parents or do you like rap like me?

I think my parents might disown me just for that (I'm joking) but it's really a style of music they don't like. First of all, they often find rap music inaudible because they quickly debit the lyrics. Then, when they do manage to understand it, they criticize most rappers for getting girls naked, talking about drugs and violence, and they don't find it holy. And finally, they find that rappers' vocabulary is pretty poor.

But I like rap a lot, I think there are real artists.

I love rap! Only certain people can enjoy it. It's ok if it's not everyone's cup of tea but find your peeps that enjoy it too instead of wasting your time on closed minded ones. Your parents mean well but I bet they like their Frank Sinatra and perry como better than anything.

I went through a rap phase when I was younger. However, the new wanna be OGs who are out, suck. They suck and their music sucks. Now, I can listen to real East Coast & West Coast rap all day long. They had a style that no one can come close to matching.

Haha very funny, they thank you for your kind offer, but they say they'll still try to put up with me when I listen to this music. Well, I have and some of his stuff - particularly his later stuff - is not bad. However, for the most part, I am a fan of jazz - mostly contemporary but some earlier material - and some pop from the 1960s, 70s and especially the 80s. Also, I do listen to classical every now and again when the mood hits.

Now I am guessing for you, beyond the Rap it is Hip-Hop and Punk, right? Yeah, I know your type. All sophisticated Frenchwoman until the synthesizer cuts in. Then all of a sudden, it's France goes Punk!!

As to the Mrs., she and I have pretty similar tastes. She tends a bit more to the 60s, 70's and 80's music than to the jazz. However, generally, we can sit together in the same room without having to wear ear plugs. It makes the marriage work, don't ya know.

i like rap as well but its important to know that you shouldn't let this type of music influence you, if you can bypass it then its also not good for the enviroment when it comes to vibes but if you aren't forcing them to listen to it then its not really a big deal, there's other things that are unholy and its much bigger things than rap music.
