It is weird to go and watch a movie by yourself?

I went to a movie by myself when I was about 10 years old. It was a documentary called, "This is My Alaska". My mom dropped me off at the theater and picked me up afterwards. It was great. It was also 1969, when people's manners were generally much better than they are now.

I no longer go to the theater and haven't gone in over 20 years. I got fed up with rude behavior by other people.

I did it quite a few times when I was single. Why not? There's nothing weird about it at all.
There have even been times when I went to a movie alone because my wife wasn't interested in seeing it.

Its not weird. If its not obvious yet plenty of people do it. As long as you stop thinking about whether or not people would find it weird, and just enjoy a “solo date” as they say. I do it sometimes. I like not worrying about draining my social battery. I enjoy it. Dont look at it as a bad thing, and it won't be.

If you do go, you would notice how other people like going to the movies alone, too. Its normal. People seem to make it a big deal when its not.

Not at all. I don't have any friends, either so, I'd go all by my lonesome, too. I remember when I was working at Cedar Point, the building where I was living had hundreds of other guys living there and I still never had anyone to go anywhere with! I'd get on the ferry over to the Sandusky Mall and either buy some records or go see a movie.

Easy! You go to the theatre, buy a ticket, walk in, sit down and watch the movie. When you're done, get up, walk out and go home.

I done it twice. Once to watch Aquaman and the 2nd time to watch The Lion King. It was pretty awesome

I do not think so. I often prefer to go alone. Unless you have friends who can be quiet and observe, they tend to be a distraction and cause you to possibly miss important parts.
