Hide and formulate a plan. Second, I would try to remember anything I saw in the room I could use for a weapon. Cleaning supplies make good weapons to temporarily blind someone, or maybe blind them all the way if you use the right mixtures. Once I found a way to take out their vision or their motor skills, I would work on disengaging the weapons. Third, I would remember any exits and come up with a backup exit plan in case the second one didn't work out. Then at least I could get help.

And if any of them wear glasses, I'm going after them first! Strip their vision, take away their accurate targets.

Since I'm a shy introvert, it would take mass amounts of courage, so hopefully this Christmas party has alcohol, lol. Terrorists usually don't release the hostages anyway, so I might as well make an attempt at bravery and take em down. Being a writer, scenarios play out for new novel ideas in my head all the time, so maybe one day one of them will come in useful to someone else! lol

Rest assured that if i ever found myself attending a Christmas party in a high rise building I would kill myself.

Presumably this would make for quite an interesting and evolving news story because to begin with people would blame the terrorists, they would deny it, no one would believe them and then evidence would surface, perhaps in the form of my suicide note posted helpfully on Qanon, clearing the terrorists of any wrong doing (at least with regard to my death) and then you won't know what to think.
