just found out about pee wee herman this shit sucks
I came up watching Pee-Wee as a kid, he was a pretty big part of my childhood, so this one definitely hurts.
Before this one, I’d say the last one, and maybe the worst one for me, was Norm MacDonald. One of my favorite comedians ever, I loved him when he did the Saturday Night Live Weekend Update. Always considered him a comedian’s comedian. Like someone with an average sense of humor might not get him because he’s so dry and off-beat. I always kind of gauged my opinion of others’ senses of humor by what their opinion of Norm MacDonald. If you truly understand comedy, you’ll get Norm. I loved how he’d drop a joke on SNL, get a weak response from the crowd, and he’d somehow just own the hell out of it by just letting the uncomfortable silence sit, he was a comedic genius.

Obviously I didn't know her, but she was a reminder of my own age, she was a link to an era now gone, and -- perhaps most importantly -- she was kind and gracious, traits that the world needs more of.
I don't have an emotional connection to most celebrities but I get said when ordinary citizens die. I even considered attending the funeral of a stranger I read about on the news and thank goodness I did not attend cause I don't think there was a single female at the entire funeral or a single person who wasn't Indian there. It was videotaped so I got to see who attended the funeral online.
Sinead O'Connor me and my mum where huge fans of hers and nothing compares 2 u was my mum's song for my dad when they broke up and then he died when i was 18 its a song that just gives me all the good memories the music words tune can't leave my head it sounds that lovley and the video is sad to seeing her cry for real wiles singing that song and the words make me cry to

Jerry Samuels! He died about 2 months ago and I was just about to call him up and ask him a few things about some of the records he's done! This was his biggest hit!
Yep, and this was the follow-up single from the same album.

None upset me.
I'm more bummed about the really old, historic ones because I love the music by John Lenon and the Beatles so much it is really a downer to think of all the songs he'd have made from 81 to 90 or so that we missed out on. It would have been something if the Beatles had actually gotten back together and put out another album.
Lynyrd Skynyrd. I love Free Bird, Simple Man, What's Your Name, Sweet Home Alabama. Watching the Youtube clip of them performing Freebird in the Oakland Coliseum in 1977 is awesome. That must have been a fun experience. No cell phones, more simple lives, 40,000 young people just rocking to the music. Allen Collins killing the guitar. What a scarry way to go... a plane crash. I'd love it if Lynyrd Skynyrd lived and got to put out 10 more years of Southern Rock.
I don't really get the same way over ones who killed themselves via drugs... like Jimmy Hendrix or something similar. Lenon and Skynyrd were taken from us.
Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Amy Winehouse... etc. Those deaths involved doing drugs. I don't feel the same because they did it to themselves. Besides, Jackson and Houston were pretty much done putting out music. I do feel a little regret when I see old clips of Michael when he was with the Jackson Five or early in his career when he looked like himself. You think... what if he just stayed with his natural looks and didn't mutate himself into some hideous thing with no nose and bleached skin. You used to be a good looking dude. He needed to hit the gym and put on 20 pounds because he was a walking stick but he looked good as his natural self.
That sucks about Paul Reubens. This is the first I heard about his death.
Tina Turner died not long ago. She was admirable and had an amazing life.
Daniel Ellsberg.
Raquel Welch died earlier this year. And David Crosby died in January.
I wouldn't say that any celebrity deaths effect me, but some people's legacies will be remembered.
Dying sucks but I don't get upset about it unless it someone close, as all mortals are dying.
https://www.youtube.com/embed/7sqyw_oyWFESinead O'Connor, she battled many years with mental illness and on Dr. Phil show she mentioned having an abusive mother growing up, and it's sad I really like the song "Nothing Compares 2 U" So sad she will be deeply missed.
Sinead O'Connor.
Sadly she could never come to terms with her son Shane taking his own life at the age of 17 in January 2022.
I still miss Alex Trebek.

To me, Jeopardy isn't the same without him.
August Cloud. He was found dead one week after his father died. They said something about him being happy about being with his father. They don't know the cause yet but I think its suicide.. but am not claiming anything yet tho. He played Fez in Euphoria.
Did he cark it? A lot of celebrities are dying lately.
I'm not sure any celebrity death has ever really upset me that much because I don't know these people personally even if I've spent time enjoying their contributions to entertainment.
The closest thing to one upsetting me was professional wrestler Owen Hart because I witnessed him plummet to his death on a live PPV broadcast. It was quite shocking at the time.
One of the most popular (and my favourite) singers passed away last year when he was performing in my city.
It was heartbreaking. I too wanted to watch him perform live.
How popular was he? The State decided to honour his death with a salute of gunshots
Not recent but Cameron Boyce' s death hit the soul, I grew up watching Jessie so it sucked
Gordon Lightfoot
One that actually upset me? Kevin Conroy.
Ones that disappointed me were Tim Bachman and most recently Angus Cloud. Especially Angus, since I liked his character in Euphoria and he's young.
It isn't recent but only Robin Williams' death has affected me
This was a couple years ago but when I heard Cameron Boyce died I was so sad because I grew up watching him on Disney Channel
the pee wee one makes me sad i love him in the cheech and chong movies.
im still upset over the deaths of norm mcdonald, gilbert gottfried, and MF Doom
Sandra Bullock's Partner Who Was Sickly. xxoo
Coco Lee... i feel like part of my childhood died with her death
Not recent but Robin Williams death broke my heart
Jeff Beck, for obvious reasons to those who know me.
None. I don’t care enough about a single media person to care. I like movies and TV shows but the actors can go to hell.
Except Cumberbatch. British bastard.
None of them honestly. Pop culture holds no sway over my life.
I just read that.. poor per-wee
Yea, that's why being a vampire is great, mortality sucks, immortality is best.

Not very recently but Mac Miller 😔
Angela Lansbury, last year.
Kobe Bryant, and Juice Wrld
I don't care if a celebrity dies
None, I don't know these people
Chadwick Boseman and Brittany Murphy.
Shine-head's.
Naya Rivera
