Michael Jackson
Whitney Houston
Amy Winehouse
Corey Haim
Not out of particular affecntion to them but how tragic their stories are.
Michael abused all through "childhood" to have his soul sucked out of him then taken out because he was selling Motown artists bavk theor master for $1 after buying them from Sony which put a major bounty on his head.
Whitney just a huge waste.
Amy no one gave a crap about her.
Corey had crap parents then passed around the industry as a kid then discarded like trash and ODed.
Joey Jordison. I first discovered Slipknot when I was 10, messing around in a thrift store when I found one of their CDs. (Iowa) and I remember looking them up on my mom's laptop. I'd seen a picture of Joey and was immediately in love. He was my first celebrity crush. His recent death I cried about for weeks. It almost killed me.
I miss you Joey 💔
Awww
Steve Irwin.
It took me a little while to warm up to him, not being used to the Austrailian style and also not liking snakes but he was truly passionate about what he did and that is a necessary prerequisite for greatness.
To paraphrase Riker from Star Trek, another may be able to take over from him but he can never be replaced.
You hit on two of mine with Kobe and MJ. But i gotta admit listening to Prince and the lyrics to his songs got me through some dark nights. As far as just pure sadness i would have to add Princess Diana because of what she meant to this world.
#shaTTeredQuestions
I was younger when Princess Diana died but I remember it

No one really.
1st i don't know them personally / also may not even know there name at all or who they are until it's mentioned by someone or news.
2nd often or not there is something sketchy about them which then irritates me because people just have rose glasses on after there death cough cough MJ.
3rd they often don't really peak my interest in what they did to get famous to the point i am confused by how they got famous.
However there is 1 person that just should of lived forever and never had such a illness that's Hawking.
There hasn't really been one that his really hit me too hard, mainly because it's illogical to feel really bad over someone you've never known.
I guess the wrestlers that I've met, when they die, it'll really hit me, since I got to meet them.
Also, I guess you could say, once Eliza Dushku passes away, that'll be tough, since I met her. We talked on the phone, around 8 years ago, on my birthday, she was drunk, and she said "sorry I've been complaining, im drunk, what's up with you", and I said "well, it's my birthday", and she's like "oh shit, im so sorry, and she starts singing the birthday song". lol. While we don't talk anymore, it's going to be weird when she passes away for me.
The only one that MIGHT have been close to me, even though I only ever met him once, like Eliza, is the former weather forecaster, Dick Goddard here in Cleveland, but, I was so young when I met him, so I barely remember it. I have a picture of it
Chester Bennington. I found out at three in the morning and kept listening to their latest album on repeat. Every time i listen to a Linkin Park song, my eyes water.
Ahh yeah. LP got me through some tough times.
I was very upset when he passed. He was very talented
Stan Lee
I know he technically wasn't a celebrity, but I had a chance to meet the legend himself many years ago. He was the kindest soul I have met and very passionate. I would have loved to have heard more of his stories
What, he was definitely a celeb and his death hit a lot of people hard
I wasn't really into celebrities when I was little, all the celebrities I like now are still alive. But, Cameron Boyce's death and Chadwick Boseman's made me really sad. I wasn't sad at first, but when I watched Jessie and Black Panther again I felt really guilty and upset.
His death was hard because he was a decent dude. He didn’t have many followers on Twitter. I think it was under a million. He was a well rounded person with interests in myriad activities. I remember seeing him on Shark Week. Into the Blue was a really good movie he did.
I miss Brian and Dominic in Fast and the Furious. The new stuff is terrible.
Juice wrld. And you should cheer up Michael Jackson isn't dead he faked his death most of these celebrities do or when they die in threes that's actually a case of ritual sacrifice like Kobe Bryant is really dead it was ritual sacrifice Michael Jackson faked his death Paul Walker really died Kurt Cobain did not Robin Williams is not dead a little peep is not dead and I don't know if juice world is dead but he did release a video about a month before he died of him inside of a burning pentagram doing a satanic ceremony selling his soul son these people legitimately do sell their souls for fame and money
None have hit me hard.. though, I do find it very tragic when losing great artists way too early.. like Amy Winehouse and Heath Ledge I clearly remember from my own lifetime.
I will also mention the actor John Ritter here. He played the dad in the TV show '8 simple rules', and they portrayed the loss with having the dad die as well. It brought an extra dimension to his death and the show.
John Ritter played a good part in the movie Sling Blade. He was a great actor
Chris Farley & also Robin Williams.
Robin Williams. I miss that guy. Jumanji was my favorite of his movies, and favorite in general.
@IAMNathanael From Jumanji to Mrs. Doubtfire & Good Morning Vietnam & more I miss him as well.
Chris Farleyyy
Chadwick Boseman.
He had a significant influence in my life. When I heard of his death, I couldn't believe it. For me he was more than Black Panther. The guy is a legend; one of the best actors I've seen.
I agree. He really embodied every role he touched. Gone way too soon.
Michael Jackson and Kim Jonghyun.
I didn’t know who Jonghyun was until the day after his death, which hit me hard and I think it was because he committed and he was going through a lot of emotional pain and ahh I don’t even want to get into detail it makes me teary eyed. He deserved better 💔 rip to both.
Thought you said Kim Jong-Un for a second there.
Yvette Wilson

She played Andell Wilkerson on the Parkers Sitcom and she was so energetic and full of life, she died in 2012 after battling with cervical cancer. Now every time I see her in the rewatches I can help but think about what it would have been like if she was still here.
Omg I forgot about her.
Ong yes i was hurt about her, bernie mac, and brad renfro
@DizzyDesii Bernie Mac?
Yes Bernie died long ago
Each celeb that has died from a very specific form of cancer. Because someone I love has had it and is a survivor that has been cancer free for several years now. All thanks to God.
So, to answer your question.
Alex Trebek
Aretha Franklin
Steve Jobs
I don't get shocks...
But yeah I was a little sad/suprised by the news of Elvis Presley's death
And for course Michael Jackson is there
They died too sooooooon...
Loved them...

You can't stop what's coming kiddo just get out of the way that's a freight train you don't want to play with I wish I had better news for you you look around lately and you can tell I'm not lying.

Jesus Christ. Celebrity deaths shouldn't affect you. They'd be unaffected by your death so why does their life or death make it any more important?
You're not any less or more than they are. When you put so much importance on nonsensical things like this it makes you se like a feeble minded and insignificant individual. Focus in your life and become your own celebrity.
Lol it's so stupid of people like you and others here to think that you have to know someone to be affected by their death. Next time don't answer.
Next time don't ask a stupid ass question 😔😂
people have heroes and people that bring them happiness so of course we get sad if they pass away whether it be Athletes, Actors or singers
@mattisebfan5 what are we in Kindergarten? Life goes on.
Next time don't answer like I said. If you're a weirdo that lacks empathy then just say that.
@Slayerrrrrrr so you can't miss people that make you happy sad world if that's the case you have no heart if that makes me in kindagarden then yes but so are about 7 billion others
Robin williams perhaps, it's sad that someone who seemed so happy and brought so much joy to others was actually the complete opposite.
Ah yes, I felt that too
I don't know. I can't think of anyone.
It is before my time but maybe John Lennon. He had so much more awesome music still to put out. Maybe the Beatles would have gotten together for one more album at some point.
It’s sad to see those whose work you enjoyed die, but at the same time I don’t know those people. If I died would it affect their day at all? They wouldn’t even know about it.
I mean, I don't need to know someone to he affected by their death. And these people were big parts of a lot of people's lives.
I balled my eyes out for Paul Walker. I was heartbroken about Aaliyah and Patrick Swayze. No one else really hit. My sis lost it after Chadwick died. she's been mentally unstable since. Its very sad to see her thinking she's talking to his ghost
Paul was fine I was convinced I'd marry him one day after meeting him in California universal city walk. He was with Tyrese and Luda. Paul is gorgeous
@Uptowngirl88 i never got to meet him outside of literal dreams but man i wouldve been fangirling over him and Luda
I've been a Larkers fan since the late 1960s. Kobe death hit me hard, but then so did Chick Hearn's. As a kid I'd listen to the Laker games on the radio at night, and usually fall asleep during Chick's post show.
John Belushi
I love the Blues Brothers
Krissy Taylor and Brittany Murphy... not really, but I thought they deserved a shout out.
Brittany Murphy! I could not think of her name the other day. I was saddened by her death too
Yes, I need to go watch Ramen Girl now. :(
Terry Pratchet, although he would not call himself a celebrity.
he was an amazing guy who I was amazingly lucky to meet a few times.
I remember playing the first Discworld on the PlayStation. Amazing game lol
Grant Imahara from Mythbusters
A true tech wizard. Rip man
@ShaTTeredMasterpeace.
I don't even follow basketball but even I knew it was a day when Kobe and his daughter passed away
Christina Grimmie.
Also Tom Cruise isn't dead yet but he's been THE hero since childhood and that's gonna hurt. Same with Robert Downey Jr. and Ed Harris.
On June 25th (my birthday) Farah fosset died and when she was met at the pearly gates she was given 1 wish... She wished all the children in the world would be safe soo... HE took Michael Jackson!!! Lol not funny. But I would say Michael Jackson I loved him so much
Kurt cobain, Selena, Brad Renfro, Michael Jackson, Paul Walker, Prince, Tom Petty, gotta think.. can't remember the other... think there is more, migriane right now, try to come back
I cried with all these
brittany murphy, Luke perry, Robin williams, and so muc more
Robin Williams, George Carlyn, John Denver, Freddie Mercury
Elvis Presley.
I remember where I was, what I was doing, and how crushed I felt.
For me, that was the day that the music died.
Trevor Moore being pretty recent was quite sad to hear he passed he was one of my favorite comedians. My favorite YouTuber of all time AGP (Angry Grandpa) was a really sad one, Ryan Dunn from CKY and Jackass, and Paul walker both rattled me, they left us early…. But there legacy’s still live on.
This seems to be a common question here.
Alan Rickman for me.
Well it was on my mind so I asked it
I wasn’t being negative. Just mentioning. I find the sites search feature curious. When attempting to see if a question has been asked before or not, I noticed other search engines, with tags, find more repeat Q’s than GaG’s own results.
Ok. Sorry for the snarkiness
Hey it’s GaG. I could have been an ass. Safer to be defensive first. lol
Lol at least you get it. And after almost 7 years on and off this site, my go to is ALWAYS defense
Off the top of my head, Brittany Murphy. Too soon!
Michael Jackson and Paul Walker. I was quite emotional about Michael Jackson for months. Paul Walker was such a shock.
Markie Post, I thought she was beautiful, talented and sexy. Did not know she was sick and had been for fighting cancer for several years. I enjoyed her in both television and movies.
Robin Williams story was sad and I felt sad when he passed, I was also sad when Stephen Hawking passed.
John Lennon.
I believe the conspiracy theory there are too many open ended questions and the fact that the FBI has surveillance on him that is creepy they did nothing.
https://youtu. be/IRmE2AiabUY
Chadwick Boseman’s hit me the hardest.
I was expecting so much from him and his demise made me very sad.
Yeah. It was so sudden and out of the blue.
I was shocked when I learned that Anthony Bourdain died. I wasn't devastated or anything but it still shocked me a bit just because I really enjoyed his travel shows.
John Lennon, Robin Williams, Molly Ivins, Ann Richards.
John Lennon was great.
Robin Williams purely from how out of the blue it was.
As was Michael Jackson in 2010 I forgot almost. Both equally shocking. So shocking.
The only one that affected me at all was Alan Rickman.
Kurt cobain, dimebag darrell, michael jackson, chester bennington, james gandolfini and a lot more...
Yeah and robin williams because he made everyone laughs and he was a good man, he ended up in a terrible way, couldn't believe this man committed suicide, his family should of been aware of his illness and always watch out for him, especially his wife!
I also forgot to mention john candy, this man made me cry when i knew that he died...
I always remember his movie "planes, trains and automobiles" may he rip, this man was unique and had a baby's heart...
Michael Jackson
Lucky Michael Schumacher is alive but when he went into coma I was sad ! I grew up watching F1 and liked him since so young , he is a very simple man beside all his amazing achievements
No celebrity death really bothered me as I didn’t personally know any of them. I’ve never talked to them, nor have I really looked into what type of people they are.
They are effectively strangers.
Chris Benoit (I'm a pro wrestling fan) not only because it happened, but then the circumstances around it as well.
Paul Walker, then recently Norm MacDonald.
That doesn't mean i don't have other favourite actors who died and i miss them, but for some reason their death wasn't so hard on me.
The one that hit me hard was Eddie Van Halen! I’m going live on the 6th and singing some of Van Halen’s songs with Eddie’s best riffs!
Most celebrities are complete SHIT. I really don't care about them. Phil Hartman was funny and I am sorry to see his work end. As far as sports figures, I don't care if most of them die because they are superficial douchebags who contribute nothing to society that they aren't already over paid for. Pat Tillman gave his life for his country when we were attacked on 9/11. He is more important than all of the other leeches combined
I’ve never actually been a huge fan of any celebrity and I don’t keep up with celebrity news, deaths or any of those things so I don’t have one…
👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
None yet. I only knew about Paul Walker after he died.
Michael Jackson, and even then the impact wasn’t hard at all.
Well none of those guys. Robin Williams, was the hardest celebrity death. Michael Jackson too.
RW was a tough one too
Princess Diana and Kobe Bryant.
2 people who were living the best part of their lives helping others.
Tupac, prince, MJ, Biggie, Biz, Eazy E, Kurt Cobain,
I'd say the death of Patrice O'neal in 2011 and recently Norm Macdonald.
Stan Lee died before I was able to make a movie, inspired by him and the X-Men he created.
Honestly haven't been that attached to a celebrity or a big enough fan to be torn up about one dying.
Michael Jackson, I grew up with the Jackson Five and it was like losing a family member!
i still miss chris farley a lot he was the best, this year mf doom passing away hit me hard too
Robin Williams. When he died it seems like the whole world's sense of humor went with him
