My rescue kittens and my mother (my only living relative).

On the anniversary of 9/11 we were gearing up for a foot patrol through a really shite part of Afghanistan. We were going to be going by Mullah Omar's mosque. They really loved him in that part of the country, so you can imagine how that went. My buddy was like "well, if I'm going to have to die for my country, today's a pretty good day to do it I guess... haha... whatdaya say?"

I said I'd no intention of dying for my country, today or any other one.

She was really shocked by that. Said after all the time we'd worked together, she was really surprised to hear me say that. I reminded her I'd been doing this a lot longer than her, and in my experience it was always more productive to help the other guy die for his country, and I'd never stand in anybody's way of doing that on either side of the line.

Really depends on the nature of the sacrifice. If it's an extremely painful demise, then I'd be less willing to do so. Especially if by sacrificing myself, I'd be statistically less likely to actually make the most positive outcome that I could have. in my opinion, it's better to live. Because at least then you're still able to help the most people you can.

I have fought a lot for keeping this life going on do ofcourse it adds up very very veryyyy much more value now. So...

I would definitely not sacrifice for any person no matter my kids or love of my life. Never. It has value more than that even

If I have to sacrifice my life for... Then... There should be really a good cause. Maybe to save humanity or Sacrifice for my nation, or like it is situation where I have to take stand and I must be like really really required kind instead of being coward there i would prefer to take the stand and risk my life

I don't think anyone really knows until the situation comes up. I'd like to believe I'd sacrifice myself to save family and friends, and (much as it annoys me) my country. But I don't know if I'd really do it

I would like to help Mitch Albom, who seems so enthusiastic about self sacrifice, by sparing him the effort in doing so, and sacrificing him myself. He likes self sacrifice and I want to help him be sacrificed.
