Having artwork done for a book cover what do we think?

I would either zoom into the picture a little more or make the title bigger. Also, the effect on it is really hard to notice. Instead of conveying meaning, it just looks generally dindgy.

"Dirt Road" makes me think of trial, hardship and progressing towards the hope of something worth it all. The focus is on the situation at hand "right now" so to reflect that, let the title come a little more front and center. My biggest issue with it is that it's really obvious it's a font and not something that someone wrote down which kind of defeats the authentic quality that would be nessecary to anchor the meaning of the words to the picture we see.

I would draw it, try it with sharpie, colored pencils, whatever, you could hire a typographer on fivver, scan the drawing into photoshop, you can scan your picture at a library if you have to.

And so far as the texture on the text, I think it would be a good idea to think about how you can get it to really pop with contrast of some kind. The colors seem fine, but adding a little bit of tonality or some sense of depth to help anchor those words in visually to nudge people spend more time looking at it.

Nice! Great detail. I love the designs and the color. I designed 6 book covers for the first book in my serious and I still can't figure out which one I want to use! The two persons on the cover stand out. The font looks good too. The whole cover tells a story. The important thing is if you're happy with it. One thing I've learned as a writer, you can ask 100 people for an opinion, and get a hundred different opinions, and you will have people that like your stuff, like your writing, book covers, narrative description, dialogue, and other people not so much. When I made my first book cover, I remember a lot of people liked it, and some didn't. You've really created a great cover there. Good job!

That looks REALLY GOOD. What jumps out is the the couple. But the art is so beautiful that the "dirt road" is being overshadowed by it. I looked at the couple first, then the pets, the flowers at the bottom, the flower field behind them and only Then did I reach the title with my eyes :p

I like this a LOT. I also agree with @pink_blah that the title should be bigger. And change the font. Non italicized and more blocky. And a different color like white or a brighter blue.

But, those comments notwithstanding, I like this cover. It would get my attention in a store.
