like really liked?
there is something like "yeah, these songs from this artist are good" but not liking it too much and then there is "woah, this artist and it's songs are marvelous!" liking.
For the former it is something you'd listen from time to time but aren't a very big fan of it.
For the latter it is something you'd listen on the regular.
For the former it would be Aggro Berlin (Die Sekte or AIDS, Deine Lieblingsrapper, B-Tight and Tony D - they have several names for their groups but are the same rappers) and I was 12 years old.
For the latter it would be Nightwish and I was 20 years old.
When I was 7 or so, my uncle gave me a bag of 45 rpm records. I really liked quite a few of those songs but I didn't follow the artists or anything.
The Beatles released their first album in 1964 when I was 10. That's the first band that I started actually following. Before then, though there were other kinds of music that I liked. Surf music, American pop, and some early British invasion come to mind.
@Jennz6. I liked them a lot! I freaking loved surf AND car music, so yeah. I heard that stuff on the radio but I didn't own any of those bands' records myself. Except my paternal grandfather used to buy lots of records and had a 45 of Jan and Dean's Little Old Lady From Pasadena that I played to death. LOL
Probably the first song I became obsessed with was from Metallica. If I remember correctly, the first Metallica song I listened to was Seek & Destroy.. And the first time I listened to this song, I was 7 years old. This event was the catalyst that caused my edgy teen phase.
Queen. I used to be obsessed with Radio Ga Ga as a child and got super upset when someone broke into our vacation home and stole my discplayer with my illegally burned Queen CD that my dad made me.

Going all the way back to my country roots, I loved Chris LeDoux, got to see him in concert a few times when I was just a little kid! My sister and I would swing dance to his music!
The first CDβs I purchased were Limp Bizkit and Nelly 😁
Black Sabbath was the band that made me to want to buy CD's back in the day, and my tastes quickly expanded from there.
I was a kid so I don't know but iβm pretty sure it was out of Destinys Child, Brandy, Mariah Carey, Michael Jackson, Snoop Dogg, Aerosmith, Lenny Kravitz and Sugar Ray
It's a mix between Green Day and My Chemical Romance personally. 🙂
I apparently loved listening to the Berlin Philharmonic when I was a toddler, but that I remember? Train. I was obsessed with "Drops of Jupiter" when I was 5 or 6.
Linkin Park. Still love them. Chester's voice has that rock voice, that metal scream but somehow also a crystal clear angelic voice. One of a kind.
The Rolling Stones, The Beatles and others from that era, because that's what my parents' vinyls collection had.
Probably some Christian music 🤣 I was indoctrinated
but did you like it
@strateguy632 no idea but probably because music is still music
My first CD (other that hits for kids) was DJ Ötzi or Birgitta Haukdal - don't remember which came first.
For me it was Miley Cyrus while she still sang country and Hannah Montana stuff, now her songs are terrible and don't listen to her anymore
Kokomo by The Beach Boys - I heard that ong on a 45 my niece had on her record player. I loved it and still love that song. As for bands? I donβt have any favorites just songs I like from various bands.
Sting because that's all my mom listened to every time in the car. My first cassette, I think, was Mortal Kombat soundtrack. my first CD was Wallflowers.
My parents used to play this for me when I was 2 years old.
https://youtu.be/v9saptHYnQE?feature=sharedABBA was one of the first, and I still to this day love them.
my too
My father always played REM growing up, so my childhood is narrated to their music.
I think it was REO Speedwagon. Could've been Michael Jackson as well.
Awww!!! Such a cute baby

Probably the The Beatles or the Bee Gees or Elvis Presley.
I can't remember exactly what band but I think it might have been Paramore.
To be completely honest, I think it was Status Quo.

for me it was Panic at the Disco, P! nk and then Michael Jackson and Queen.
I was obsessed with Roy Orbison from the ages of 11-14. Like, obsessed.
