We watch the news if something major has happened, otherwise we use our TV for DVDs, Blu Rays and for nothing else.

I cut the cord years ago. It seemed pointless to pay for as much as we were and to have "nothing" to watch lol. I don't miss it. I'm saving money streaming with the apps I use. I think network TV is in bad shape and the strike is not helping them. I do find it weird that some younger people don't stream on a TV at all and want to use their phone for everything. Even a tablet screen is not as enjoyable as a bigger TV with a sound system. To each their own of course but it's definitely not a better viewing experience that way. I get that it might be preferred by some and it's an interesting primary choice. I only use my tablet when I travel for work. I think I've gone off topic a little ha.

Everything is streaming. You have to have Netflix, hulu, amazon, Disney, showtime to find anything decent to watch. Don't get me started on sports. 95% of everything they have is unwatchable

Considering actors and writers are currently on strike to ask for 1% of the overall profits of streaming spread out over all of them and these corporate CEOs are refusing to do so, yeah. It’s a pretty shit situation for TV that would be solved by losing their greed

Yes. It is absolute trash these days. I watch sport, the news and one comedy show. Thats it. The rest of my viewing is streaming movies.
