Why do church bands repeat the same verses of songs 40 or 50 times?

I'm at a non denominational church this morning, and the praise and worship band keeps repeating the same lyrics like 50 times in a row... I mean Led Zeppelin's Stairway to Heaven takes less time.

I think the more diversity you have in your lyrics, the smaller the audience of people who listen to the song you sing, cause it requires a more wide spread spiritual palate to be interested in each word in your song. In the end a lot of religious songs are made for financial purposes and not for worship reasons. Also a lot of church goers are busy and don't have time to memorize a thousand different lyrics so if you give them a song they have never heard before, and its easy to remember, they won't get bored.

Cause it is moving the crowd other bands do this in concerts but yeah that many times way to much!

Christina seem to only have so many artists they like playing my tmchurch has not changed songs in like 2 years!

a lot has to do with copy right and all that paper work and more paying...

But with a worship band can't they write Thier own or share their own?

But being an artist is just asking to get your work stolen now! Why bother sharing especially on the internet!

🤣 I used to go to church so I know what you mean. I think it's like a buildup of emotion for most people? For me I never was emotional so it never did anything for me.
