Do you enjoy 80s music?

I mentioned that I wasn't fond of 80s music (I preferred 90s music and beyond), but I quite like the stuff from that decade actually.

The hair metal is okay (but a bit overhyped at times). The early 80s New Wave was superb.

Live Aid was the epitome of 80s music.

The Police, U2, Simple Minds, Wham, Duran Duran, Queen, Michael Jackson, Genesis, Big Country, etc. Golden Earring (from my home country) had a hit in 1982.

It's okay, but I don't really listen to it anymore. I pretty much had my fill of it as a kid in the 80s and very early 90s. But it can be fun to listen to some 80s songs once in a blue moon.

80s metal was great up to the mid 80s till it became watered down. There was also a lot of great neo progressive rock.

However, it still pales with what happened in the 70s. There is actually more good music now than there is ever was in the 80s.

The 80s was one of the worst decades for music in the last hundred years. It was slightly better than the late 70s, but overall the 70s was better because the first half was great.

Sure, there was some good music from the 80s. There is good music from every decades. But on average it wasn't good.

you should check out the smiths the cure and those types of bands. Unless you think guns n roses are great in which case we have nothing in common because they were wankers producing a product not artists

Even though I was a teenager and in my early 20's during the 1980's, I think the music from that decade really sucked. Even back then I didn't like it, and when the 90's came around the music improved dramatically.
