1970s music is best, followed by the 60s and 80s.
Back when songs had real lyrics, singers could sing, and bands played instruments.
Between the 80s and the 90s. I can't choose between the two.
@Simslover92 Oh, the 90's were way better. In the 80's you had interest rates above 15%' inflation was still lingering, etc.
But you had the Smiths and The Cure and Laura Branigan Kate Bush Tears For Fears etc in the 80s
I don't know Neil Young so you're in luck lol
My favorite decade for music has to be the 80's!

The 70s for sure. But great music began in 1964 or so and continued to evolve through the 70s.
‘70’s classic rock. That shit you listed except Bob Seger is way too soft and wimpy for me
Ok haha fair enough. I like heavier music too I just think these 4 songs really paint a good picture of what I like melodically with the 70's as a decade for music :D
Well your choices are spot on…except hall and Oates. Really?
But my theory is there are two major 10 year periods of exceptional music. With obvious outliers.
1965-1975
1985-1995
I'm gonna go with the 2010's onward since I have the most songs from then.
Mid 2000s until 2016... I think music is quite dead nowadays or i just don't vibe with Gen Z...
`60's and early `80's.
80s or 10s
The 1950's
2040
