For me, the plot is boring.

Dark screen. Some idiot directors think darkness with a few flickering shadows lends realism or suspense or something. But I think bad lighting and poor cinematography indicates low budget.

Loud, stupid sound effects. Trying to create excitement with sound instead of actual good action. Again, it's just bad film making.

Combine darkness with cheap sound effects and you have a crappy movie.

Too much dependence on CG effects. CG effects + sound effects to create excitement almost always indicate a poor script.

Naturally, bad script and dialogue = a bad movie.

When the dialogue makes no sense or just too much dialogue or not enough dialogue in a movie.

There are some other things too, but these are things that absolutely no movie can overcome even if they started with an interesting idea.

Either too much "gore' or too much trashy talk. If you noticed, in all of the Jason Borne movies, there was no dirty mouth throughout any of the movies. No need for it. Right?

Jason Borne's actor (s) and the actors for the one "Borne Legacy" staring Jeremy Renner, did not have the dirty mouths that we see in many films. Also Tom Cruise movies did not have dirty mouths either. The first time I hear "fuck' or Mother F*&^%^%" in a movie, that turns me off... I don't need to hear that, and if I did I'd down to the Marine Barracks at Pendelton and spend the day.

Too much CGI.

I prefer a movie where what you see on screen is all real. Models, miniatures and physical craftsmanship. Movies where acting is the focus.

Example: Top Gun: Maverick.
Superman the Movie with Christofer Reed.
Star Was, The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi.
Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Some CGI.
Donnie Brasco no CGI.

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom

Voices or whispers so silent, that i can't hear a single word they are saying without having to crank up the volume to 1000%. No, i'm not gonna do that. The movie is finished.

Or extremely fast scenes cut into micro videos meshed one are another, where it looks like things happen but you can't keep track of what's happening. an example of what i mean is the flashing riot scene in Squid Game.
