What's the most messed up/disturbing film you've ever watched?

Nothing shrugs, honestly i laugh when people say A serbian film is disturbing. It's actually just really boring.
If it's a horror for me to sorta feel anything towards it, it needs to be psychological or just so odd it's odd. Psychological film been something like Cam it's the perfect film to try imagine been in her shoes.
Odd to be odd is something like The Lords of Salem. Or the new seires to netflix called brand new cherry flavour why these do well is the simple premise of you don't know what's gonna happen. Which you think a lot of horror stuff would be able to do... but sadly nope.
Pretty much all of them are predictable. hell would even say these 2 sorta are too but they still have a lot weird stuff that if your first time watching will be thinking... umm wtf.
Then there is stuff that is really good horror but sadly a lot don't class it as as such, Handmaidens Tale as a example. If someone tries to tell me it's not horror i will tell them they don't understand horror.
I actually wanted to see that movie but never got around to it. As for messed up, I would say Tokyo Gore Police. I thought it was going to be schlock, it turned out be fucked up instead (I mean I knew that was going to be the case I just didn't realize in what way). Let me just put it this way, mutates exist, people genitically alter themselves and its gory (as one would expect). Their is also a scene where a guy gets a blowjob from a snail girl and it gets bitten off so he grows a giant prehensile penis that shoots lasers (or acid, its been a long time and I try not to think about it too much). Its live action too so definitley didn't expect that level of "dear god what the fuck is this!" like I would if it was animated (japanese get really fucking weird with their stuff). I thought it was going to be a post apocalyptic action schlock film but dear god no, no it wasn't.
I mean its definitley an experience. Personally I like weird, but some times I forget just how weird japan gets. Is that your style of movie then? If so I would say Psycho Goreman might be up your alley (its done like a 90s kids movie, except horrifically gruesome and fucked up (intentionally)). I personally like out their movies or WTF movies but they are not every one's cup of tea.
The guys who did Psycho Goreman did a short film (shot like it was a trailer) called Biocop, just to give you an idea of what the fuck your in for:

We are best friends now. Tucker and Dale vs. Evil is fucking AMAZING! I love those movies. If you ever need a list I have a long one filled with those movies, both funny and just straight horror (Evil Dead is a great one if you haven't seen it. So is The Editor which is made by the same guys who did those other movies I mentioned (Psycho Goreman and Biocop), John Carpenters the thing, John Carpenters In the Mouth of Madness are also good ones).
Did you like a serbian film or was it too messed up?
Fuck yeah. 😎 And not really tbh. I mean they CERTAINLY did a good job making a movie about "fuck political correctness", good lord did they do a good job on that. But that was a whole nother level of fucked up. I like "funny" fucked up, but that movie wasn't "funny" fucked up, it was just fucked up.
Pretty much anything in the rape revenge category. 9/10, all it does is cause flashbacks
A Serbian film as well for me. That movie should be a crime.

Off the top of my head, I'd say Come and See (Idi I Smotri). It's a Soviet (Belarusan, not Russian) anti-war movie depicting a teenager's experiences as a resistance fighter in Nazi-occupied Belarus. It does NOT shy away from depicting the horrors of war, in all their gruesome, mind-bending nature. To illustrate the point, I'll mention that the title comes from the book of Revelation, talking about the fourth seal being broken and the Four Horsemen being unleashed.
Not so much a movie with demonic cannibal aliens, but a horrific reminder of an all-too-real part of our past, and one that most people cheer on righteous and praiseworthy.
I have seen a lot of disturbing movies. But “Schindler’s List” was really well done, very authentic and really takes you back to the horrors of those times. I am not Jewish but you don’t have to be Jewish to have your heart broken at the evil things that were done. The fact that it’s all real and the sheer numbers and the horrific treatment of human beings. The mix of emotions it brings out is almost too much to bear.
UNPLANNED!!! This shows a simulation of an ACTUAL abortion. I'm telling you, Women who go through these knowing what is going on in the sonogram, as far as I'm concerned should have happened to them in the first place!!! The only exception is if her life is at stake.
For me, the original Night Of the Living Dead and Texas Chainsaw Massacre have stood the test of time.
I've seen many other films with content that was disgusting, but not close to being disturbing.
These TV programs that claim there is something in the woods scare
the shit out of me I'd rather much not even watch it, the name is called
Terror in Woods, something evil lurks and howls like a wolf and some
of that paranoia will f***k my head up so got watch, people buy these
homes that have haunting stuff in it , yes it's messed up
I watched a movie called banned in America at my friend's after school. It had some really messed up stuff. It was all real videos of murders, suicides, and messed up accidents
This French horror movie called “Martyrs” about this little girl whos kidnapped and tortured and later gets revenge on the family who did it
I have definitely heard of serbian film. Not sure i ever wanna watch it lol
Yes. Not just that but beaten regularly. And she also guns down the entire family that did it lol
dishonorable mention to this other french movie called Irreversible... if you get triggered by rape scenes do not watch it... also a dude gets his face beaten to a pulp by a fire extinguisher... yeahhh
stars Monica Bellucci
It's been years and years ago but it was a movie called Soylent Green and another one called snake oh my God I had nightmares for months
Yeah, I get that feeling every time I go to bed after getting off work 😱
I’ve heard about this film and read the synopsis and agree with you it’s bad. For me the most disturbing film I watched is probably Oldboy. Also Gone Girl. But Oldboy really shocked me when I first watched it.

Watch at own risk
Human centipede 2 and 120 days of Sodom made me avoid eating chocolate cream for a while
Second one is bad and disgusting together, the third was like "is this a serious movie or a parody" and Dieter Laser's excessive yelling annoyed me.
Gore is ok buff like force feeding feces are a nope for me, therefore I don't like such movies
Death Race 2000 ..
and probably Animal farm ( I couldnt watch ) physically ill
Sausage party, watched it while dealing with covid. Had a pretty high fever, made the movie trippy as heck.
I try to make it a point not to watch messed up/disturbing movies. I have had enough of that in my life and do not need any more.
Saving Private Ryan, i was far too young but my family went to a movie premiere to watch it when it first came out, my father said a lot of WW2 veterans were there, and they started vomiting, leaving the theatre when they landed on the beach.
I watched it years later when I was really young, I still think its one of the most disturbing movies out there...
The footage from Yeovil playing Nottingham Forest in the play off semi final in 2007... Geez I've needed a therapist ever since that day! lol
Cannibal Campout with this girl I was dating in high school.
Fargo was really bad it came out as a drama and comedy. I think they who crefot it was high on drugs
Shazam, Because of that boardroom scene and its supposed to be like a family hero movie so I didn't really expect it.
I can't remember, because if it's really disturbing in the beginning, I usually bale out.
Rob zombie movie. I burned it afterwards and the guy who owned it was pretty mad LOL!
I found 8mm pretty disturbing.
