What do you think of Apple Music’s Top 100 Albums of All Time list?

Apple Music just released what they think is the “Top 100 albums of all time” and a lot of people are upset about it.
what do you think? Any albums you think should have been placed lower or higher? Any albums that didn’t make the list at all that deserved it?

Haha, well…. one thing I typically hate is ranking things. Top 10, Top 25, Top 100, whatever. And the more of whatever it is we’re ranking exists, especially music, millions of songs out, probably hundreds of thousands of albums in existence, if not millions or more, the tougher it really is to say “this is better than that, by one.”

So I’m more just looking at the overall list…I guess we need to account for trying to be eclectic, and that not everything is going to be up my alley. I just don’t get the appeal of The Beatles, but so many people love them, I can’t really argue that it’s not just a matter of personal taste. I think something like Dr. Dre’s “The Chronic” is better, and Beatles fans might hate it and not understand that. So I’m leaving room for all that, and that some omissions might need to be made to accommodate other stuff that isn’t on my radar.

I can’t argue with most of these, or I just may not really be as familiar with a lot of post-2010 stuff, which is when an old dinosaur like me thinks music started to fall from its former greatness, also coinciding with me turning 30 and becoming old and uncool lmao. But I just barely know who SZA and Bad Bunny even are, let alone know their music to like it or dislike it, lmao.

If I had some snubs that I’d have liked to have seen on there, they’d probably mostly be pop punk. Blink-182’s “Enema Of The State” is 10/10. “Dookie” from Green Day was excellent. So was “And Out Come The Wolves” by Rancid.

I’d also swap out the later Kanye album for his debut album “The College Dropout.” “New Workout Plan” and “Jesus Walks” are two of the worst songs I’ve ever heard in my life, lmfao, but everything else was great. 2010s Kanye stinks out loud to the high heavens, I don’t know what the hell happened to him. But that whole 2002-07 period where it was all pitched up soul samples as instrumentals, that may have been the peak of human civilization, not just of music🙌

I liked stuff with a little more gangsta lyrics, like Cam’ron/Dipset, but beats like this are just fuckin’ 😙🤌

Hotel California squeaks in at 98. Back in Black 90. Appetite for Destruction 52. No Pink Floyd The Wall. But Dark Side of the Moon 28. No Dire from down under. No Alice Cooper. Where the hell is Aerosmith? Eagles Live, Live Bullit.
They should have not included any serious bands and all pop. I saw a couple on twice at different numbers or is my eyesight that bad?
