I would say the banjo 🪕 and the accordion 🪗.

For decades, the guitar was the most desirable instrument, with the drums and piano up there too.

the accordion is highly recognized all over the Latin American countries, even in the USA...

and yes, ever since the Europeans brought it over here... the accordion has become one of many of the symbols and identities in our cultures

I do think the bass doesn't get as much love as the guitars... lol

The French Horn. Most composers don't utilize the French horn for anything but background harmony. The exception is John Williams, who often uses the French Horn to play melody. That's the easiest way to know if a piece was composed by John Williams... listen to French Horns playing melody.
