Why do some people hate on the CGI on tv like they could do any better?

Like seriously, when I scroll through social media posts about tv shows or movies, i see comments saying “CGI sucks” “The CGI is so bad”. etc. like Why do people hate on the CGI on tv like they know everything about that subject? Like Hey newsflash, you ain’t the producer. You ain’t a professional, they are, so stop criticizing and complaining so much, you have no right. Most CGI looks amazing so I don't know wtf you are complaining/criticizing about 🙄🤦🏻‍♂️

Yo for real, those kinda haters bug the shit outta me man. Like who the fuck do they think they are, Steven Spielberg or some shit? Sittin on they couch talkin bout "oooh CGI bad, I could do better". Shut the fuuuuck up no you couldn't!

These studio peeps spend millions makin these shows, and thousands of people workin their asses off on the special effects. But armchair critics on Twitter think they know it all cause they watched a Corridor Crew video one time or somethin. Give me a break dude.

It just reeks of jealousy if you ask me. Like they wish they was the ones makin dope ass content but stuck commentin online instead. At least appreciate the hard work that goes into this shit even if it ain't perfect ya know?

'Sides, 90% of the time CGI looks crazy realistic already. Maybe they just wanna feel important bitchin about small flaws nobody else sees. Who even watches a movie just to analyze crap like that anyway? Loser behavior if you ask me dawg.

These special effects artists be pourin their blood, sweat, and tears into bringin these worlds to life. It ain't easy makin crazy fantasy creatures look photorealistic. But you'll never catch the haters givin them props for how far tech has even come.

It's so much easier to sit on the sidelines and talk shit too. Bet none of em could even 3D model a coffee cup without it lookin janky as hell. But they always know EXACTLY why some CG monster "doesn't look right" like they the experts or somethin.

All it does is take the fun outta appreciatin the craft, ya feel me? Next fool I see hatin, I'm callin them out. You ain't gotta love every single shot, but at least show the artists some damn respect for their skills. These movies wouldn't even be possible without 'em.

They just wanna complain to be complainin. It's mad lame if you ask me. We should be liftin each other up in the community, not pullin each other down. Keep doin you though, call it like it is!

I have no problem with CGI, but I've never been a fan of the "Let's see you do better!" counter-criticism.

I'm not a good cook, but I can tell when a meal tastes bad. I can't play baseball, but I can tell the difference between a player who scores one run per game and a player who hits every ball out of the park. I'm not a writer, but I can tell when something is corny and cliched.

That doesn't mean that all criticism is necessarily fair. When it comes to effects and animation, quality often depends more on time and budget than talent and effort, and it's important to recognize that the people who work on these things are doing their best with what they have. Even when resources are available, things like tight deadlines, staff changes, and poor management can turn promising material into a poor product, so it's not necessarily the artists' fault.

Still, my point stands. People are allowed not to like things. If professionals don't want their work criticized by the public, the only solution is not to show it to the public.

I dont understand it either with one exception. Generally practical effects roughly stay on one level over the years while cgi improves every fear years drastically. That means going back to movies using practical effects will not change much, while going back to older cgi movies may look bad because you are used to newer and modern looking effects.

So what if I can’t do better, does not mean I have to like it. I prefer other types of special effects over CGI. People complain because they think it looks bad. I think CGI movies can look bad too.

I think the 1943 Chicken little Disney short film looks better than the 2005 movie.

I think it's good that people are more strict about cgi. Because maybe then whoever is in charge will give the cgi artists more time to perfect what they do. Like how James Cameron does with avatar cgi
