Does it need to be shattered?
Sometimes, we never feel more alive when we survive.
Other times, only surviving isn't necessarily living.

I live in a high-tech bubble and have since I went to college. I don't eat at chain restaurants, drink local craft beer, all my friends are intelligent, wealthy, liberal, secular.
I’m curious, what kind of bubble do you think I live in?
I thought your answer sounded stuck up given your response here:
How do you deal with people who always talk about money (like how much other people make, how much they have, etc)? ↗
Having gone the same route peppered with misfortune, I wish I could find the same demand for mine. I still don’t support liberals because I’m finding they’re more racist and sexist than I’ll ever be as gatekeepers for work.
I’m finding that’s the problem. I’m being punished for sins I didn’t commit to push an agenda (diversity) that is racist and sexist at it’s core.
Just remember, when you reach the pearly gates, ambiguity, double entendres, incompetence, and equivocation won’t save you from final judgment. And since living is hell on Earth for many, you need not believe in God for karma to find you and exact it’s toll.
You’re really going to be so petty as to focus on arguing the existence of God while ignoring blatantly unethical and in many countries illegal agendas openly discriminating against a demographic because you think there are too many of them? Nazis said the exact same thing about Jews. Reexamine your conscience or it will get reexamined for you.
Affirmative Action, DEI, the recent Supreme Court ruling. I made the implication that hiring a diverse workforce in the conventional way liberals and DEI advocates defined is illegal under the CRA. Discriminating against any group is what Nazis did. You couldn't glean that given your post history?
But I'm not opposed to AA for the disabled or women. I don't like the vulnerable living in fear. They should have autonomy and be able to find fulfillment under their own willpower. I support empowering women, but not to my detriment. It's delicate.
Affirmative Action is problematic, particularly for Asian-Americans seeking college admission. I've been insulated from it all as the competition for spots in top-tier universities wasn't as high as it is today. No have I been much affected by DEI as throughout most of my career there were more positions open than people qualified to fill them. With today's historically low unemployment I wouldn't expect that would affect much private employment.
Asians have a stereotype with emotional intelligence issues. They're submissive, disciplined, and ascetic to a fault. They don't know when to say no. They turn themselves into human calculators and tend to suck the joy out of social situations. Discipline is admirable, but their tolerance for self denial is too high on occasion from what I saw at school. Living inside a lab and replacing friends with computers isn't healthy.
.
I'm glad they'll get pressure taken off. They need to work more on their social skills and less on book smarts so they're not awkward and so insufferable when they do decide to speak.
I have a huge employment gap I'm dealing with job searching. I'm not feeling this remarkablly low unemployment you speak of. Those gaps were because of health issues outside my control. What irritates me is there is nothing immoral or unsavory in those gaps. I burned no bridges when I garnered years of experience. And now, I can't get employers to listen because recruiters act like they're too busy or are just lazy, can't tell. They also make mistakes and ghost.
We're in a deflationary period. Unemployment will probably go up. But this type of era favors me because I'm all about busting ass. That was the main issues at my last job. My over performance despite stagnant wages pissed my coworkers off because it made them look bad.
I also don't believe in job hopping on an employers dime, I've historically resigned before job hunting. It's unethical to me to shop around for a job with intent while employed. But I see and hear people doing it everywhere. It's the same as a relationship. Nobody should cheat before ending their current relationship. Why the exception for jobs? The stakes are just as high if not higher.
So when you say if I'm competent, I'll find a job. That's too simplistic and has been used in a hostile manner by liberal affiliates.

Stereotype much?
Yes, that's why labelled it as such and didn't qualify ALL of them. You can still stereotype without being racist.
I just do. It seems morally wrong. It’s the opposite of loyalty. I've heard the “you gotta eat” comments, but to me that means you have to be that much more responsible with your rainy day fund. I get that companies “may not care” and that they’ll get theirs, but I interpret that attitude as a product of culture. I was asked what inspires loyalty and I said culture. You don’t rely on the culture to raise you up, you raise yourself up and thereby raise the company’s culture up by doing so. Job hopping is counter to that. You don’t want to encourage people to leave by condoning OR condemning it, you want them to stay by voluntarily not doing it.
I did it, I survived. I don’t know if employers consider that when rifling through applications. I’d think someone who acted honorably would be a more attractive prospect.
I love this song I used to listen to this song in middle school. I used to want to play the violin like her.
No, that is saved for the brainwashed conservatives.
As immaculate as the conception of Christ.
